$“After three years of pandemic, amplified fascism, freedom convoys, dying glaciers, misdiagnoses, police killings, children alone in cages at borders, open-air prisons for entire peoples, all in the name of racial capitalism, I’m asking myself: What does it mean to listen to water? What does it mean to believe in water?” -Leannne Betasamosake Simpson —- Research into fractal patterns and their potential to express relationality continues. Inspired immensely by the Theory of Water by Leanne Batasamosake Simpson🌊 —- Thank you to my cuzzin for spending so much time listening to water with me❤️🥹 photos by: @magnesonstudios #visualarts #photography #metis #trans #painting #performanceart #topsurgery #artist #pride by @adventureinthelittlethings$

Yesterday marked a year of genocide, 365 days of a live-streamed genocide (and 75 years of colonial oppression before that) and still you turn a blind eye. The lack of humanity demonstrated by those not speaking out is abhorrent❤️‍🩹 But the way ᐊᒥᐢᑲᐧᒋᐋᐧᐢᑲᐦᐃᑲᐣ (Amiskwaciwâskahikan) shows up day after day gives me hope🇵🇸🕊️ We will never stop fighting for what’s right!

Just a few days ago on September 30th folks showed up in orange shirts, a day of mourning and remembrance, but for most, meaningless performative action. Our institutions claim to be working towards reconciliation while actively funding the genocide of Indigenous people. The freedom and health of Indigenous peoples on Turtle Island is intrinsically linked to that of Palestinians. Nobody’s free until everyone is free!

Climate justice, BLM, queer liberation, land back, disability justice, decolonization, a free Palestine, it’s all connected✊🏼🧡

we are so back baby 🙃 open call for “The Name Of” 2027 is live now, submissions close on October 30th. Thrilled to be bringing on 2026 alumni @adventureinthelittlethings as our visiting artist mentor, and continuing our collaboration with @orchidcontemporary for a confirmed exhibition fall 2027. The Name Of is a one week residency from March 22nd-29th 2027 held at Gibraltar Point Centre for the Arts, facilitated by multidisciplinary artist Maddie Alexander (They/He). This residency is for trans* artists, inclusive of all who fall under the gender diverse, 2 Spirit, Intersex, GNC, or Non-Binary experience. The intention of this residency is to foster a focused space for trans* artists to collaborate, share research, expand your networks, and nurture space to dig into your practice in new and explorative ways. by @adventureinthelittlethings

Tuning In To Climate Change, the album, is now available wherever you stream music!

One year from our amazing community event, this album brings together Hannah Bayne @hannahlbayne, Amanda Penner @amandapenner__, Asiah Holm @asiahholm, Benjamin Longman @benjaminlongman, Emmet Michael @emmetmichaelwave, and Lajla Jean @silentstj and explores grief, love, hope, and our climate past, present, and future while connecting us to one another and Mother Earth.

We are so excited to share this labour of love and community with you. This project has brought together community-based research, music, and climate emotions in such a unique and exciting way and has taught us so much about how community music can support our wellbeing and capacity for action.
