The first light, at the summit of Mt Fuji.

Through the dense cloud that always shrounded the mountain, with very strong winds blowing non stop.

It was our second time summiting Mt Fuji, the last time it was drizzling through whole journey and covered by clouds, it wasn't possible to trek around the crater and locate the highest point (Kengamine) as well as the highest post office in Japan, so we went down with goal unfulfilled.
This time, we achieved what we came for. A target completed.

Thundering night before our early ascend to summit, marvel at force of nature in distant land.

After a restful evening we begin our ascend to summit at 2am. It was below 5c and very windy.

Pic.4 onwards are tidbits when arriving Tomoekan at 8.5 station.

From pic.4 it is tidbids of the hike starting from 5th station.

"Mt. Fuji is only visible around 100 days per year" and we got super lucky to have this evening view to ourselves during this summer.

Fuji is always amazing and majestic no matter the seasons.

An observation deck overseeing Motosuko, took a short hike from the road below, trekking through trails with cicada noise in the background.

It is the view on old 1000 yen banknote. It was cloudless before the hike, when we reach this spot the rolling cloud already half obscured the Mt Fuji. In mere minutes it was completely hidden behind thick clouds.

Just spacing out and chill and watching the clouds roll by, with cicada chirping loudly in the background. A much needed reprieve from hectic city life.

How does Fuji look in summer? The iconic giant without the snow cap.

Still magnificent IRL, with a dominating presence across the landscape, and can be seen anywhere from its surrounding townships.
