Some@good chances created in yesterdays game. @afc_welwyn vs @harpenden_town_fc by @afc_welwyn
⚔️ FULL TIME ⚔️ Harpenden Town 3–2 AFC Welwyn ⚽️ Noyan Tajbakhsh ⚽️ Samuel Adetiba MOTM: Courtney Massay - Assited both goals 🙌🏽 A frustrating afternoon for the Romans as we leave Harpenden empty-handed despite creating more than enough opportunities to take something from the game. Acting Manager TJ reflected on the performance: 💬 “We’re disappointed with the result because I felt it was a game we should have put to bed in the first 45 minutes. There were plenty of positives. We exploited the wide areas really well, something we’ve worked hard on in training, and you can see real progress in the way we want this team to play. We created more than enough chances, but we weren’t clinical enough. At this level, if you don’t take your chances, you leave yourself vulnerable and ultimately that cost us today. The players are buying into what we’re trying to achieve and our identity is starting to develop. Now it’s about turning those good performances into results and being more ruthless. The result is disappointing, but the direction we’re heading in is encouraging. We learn, we keep working and we keep building.” We go again. 🩷💙 #uptheromans #AFCWelwyn #theromans by @afc_welwyn

AFC WELWYN 2– 0 ARLESEY TOWN FC ⚽ Noyan Tajbakhsh ⚽ Samuel Adetiba Back-to-back league wins for the Romans 🩷💙 After a difficult first half, the lads showed their character and spirit once again, producing a professional second-half performance to come out on top in a hard-fought contest. Myles praised Arlesey for a competitive performance before reflecting on an encouraging night for his side: “From the moment the boys arrived, the message was about being focused, professional and ruthless. After a difficult first half, I thought the boys’ attitude was spot on and once again showed our ever-present spirit to come out as victors in a hard-fought contest. That’s back-to-back wins in the league for this group for the first time this season and takes us into the playoff places for the first time. An encouraging night’s work and we continue to build from here. Thank you to all of you Romans for showing up on a Monday night and for your continued support.” MOTM: Noyan Tajbakhsh Another three points on the board. Onto the next 🩷💙 #uptheromans #AFCWelwyn #TheRomans by @afc_welwyn
