Lord, let Your beauty be upon us. #AGoodWord by @agoodword.co

Thank you Lord for Your great love and mercy towards us. May we ever be recipients of Your mercy.

There is much to thank God for. Not only for what He has given us, but also for what, in His mercy, did not consume us.

The near misses.
The wrong turns He redeemed.
The mistakes that could have cost us far more.
The averted dangers we saw, and perhaps the ones we never knew of.
The forgiveness we have received, the sins covered by the blood of Jesus, the judgement we deserved, but Christ bore in our place.

Sometimes, we measure God’s goodness by what He has given us. But His goodness is also present in what His mercy has kept us from.

“Through the LORD’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.” Lamentations 3:22 NKJV

As this new month unfolds, may we remember this simple truth:

We are still here by mercy.
