Presenting AGTZ Twin Tail Commission #19.

Some liveries speak of the future. This one speaks of the track.

Commission #19 draws its spirit from the Alpine A441 - the French Group 5 prototype that battled through the 1974 European 2 Liter Sports Car Championship. A silhouette built for speed, reborn as a soul for the Twin Tail.

Finished in La Sarthe Blue, its bespoke livery wraps body and rims alike, punctuated by additional removable stickers - a nod to the liveries that once raced through the night, always ready to be reconfigured, reinterpreted.

Step inside, and the racing heritage continues in a different register. Grey Artemide leather meets grey and red Alcantara, stitched by hand in red, grey and silver thread - a quiet echo of the exterior's duality, carried into every seam. Satin-finish carbon completes the interior, adding a calmer, more restrained accent in contrast to the boldness of the exterior.

One livery, born on a racetrack decades ago.
One soul, alive again today.

To spotkanie niemal jednej trzeciej całej historii modelu.

That’s how many unique AGTZ Twin Tail examples came together in one place - each one exceptional, each in a unique configuration.
With a production run this limited, this isn’t simply a gathering of six cars. It’s a meeting of almost one-third of the entire history of the model.

Presenting AGTZ Twin Tail Commission #8.

True coachbuilding is more than the mastery of form - it is the art of giving a silhouette a living character.

With Commission #8, the Twin Tail philosophy of duality reaches a new, chromatic dimension. Its coachbuilt bodywork acts as a dynamic canvas, featuring a bespoke finish that refuses to be captured by a single glance.

Every hand-crafted curve is designed to sculpt the light. As your perspective changes, the paint undergoes a seamless metamorphosis. Deep, enigmatic shadows continuously dissolve into brilliant, luminous depths. Nothing is static. Nothing is accidental.

From one angle, profoundly subtle and mysterious.
From another, unmistakably dramatic and alive.

This constant evolution - a shifting character bound to a singular soul - defines the AGTZ Twin Tail.

One car. Two souls.

Blue steel against a docked giant.

Moored on the waterfront, an old passenger ship stands as a monument to another era. Beside it, the AGTZ Twin Tail tells a different story - a tribute to the 1960s Alpine A220, born from Zagato's coachbuilding art.

AGTZ Twin Tail is heading to Ultrace.

Where contemporary coachbuilding meets surf, art and motorsport culture. Created by Zagato and La Squadra as a modern tribute to the legendary Alpine A220, the AGTZ Twin Tail redefines automotive design with its signature removable long-tail silhouette and hand-built craftsmanship.

This one-off DEUS commission takes the concept even further. Wrapped in Carby Tuckwell’s hand-drawn monochrome livery, it transforms a collector-grade machine into rolling automotive art.

Two worlds. One vision. No compromises.

Developed through the partnership between Zagato and La Squadra, the AGTZ Twin Tail reinterprets the spirit of endurance racing through contemporary coach-building.

For this one-off project, Deus Ex Machina was invited to complete the car with a hand-drawn exterior livery by Creative Director Carby Tuckwell - a graphic treatment designed to complement the sculpture beneath it.

A shared philosophy became the foundation of the AGTZ Twin Tail project. Drawing from the legacy of Alpine and the mythology of Le Mans, the collaboration explores speed, form, craftsmanship, and the evolution of composite materials.

The opportunity to collaborate with La Squadra and Zagato on the AGTZ was more than a design brief - it was the intersection of lifelong obsession and automotive sculpture. Inspired by the static speed and silhouette of the world’s most iconic machines since childhood, Carby approached the project with restraint: a simplified palette, deliberate graphics, and a respect for the form itself.

“I hope the simplicity of palette, shape and graphics complement the work of art that is the car.”

Presenting AGTZ Twin Tail Comission #16.

AGTZ Twin Tail was born from the idea of writing the next chapter in the history of A220. What it failed to achieve in the legendary 24h Le Mans in the 1960s was ultimately completed by its successor a decade later. The project known as A442B was the first to cross the finish line at the 1978 edition of the endurance classic. The machine that brought an abrupt end to the dominance of the German competitors at La Sarthe is remembered to this day for two things: its wild two liter engine, punching well above its weight thanks to the magic of turbocharging, and its striking yellow, black, and white racing colors. They succeeded the traditional Bleu de France in 1975 to mark the team’s transition to new ownership.

The Le Mans victory was one of several historic achievements, alongside the heroic battle of A110 in the 1975 Tour de Corse, and no fewer than fifteen wins in the Formula One Grands Prix, that secured this livery’s eternal place in the motorsport hall of fame. Today it is rightfully celebrated by AGTZ Twin Tail Commission #16, which reinvents the classic 1970s graphics in a strikingly modern, artisanal style, meticulously designed by the craftsmen of @zagato1919.
