I went another fantastic animal adventure with Lynn St. Georges this weekend. This time, we explored The Healing Farm in Yelm, Washington. You guys, I got to hold a baby wallaby!!! I also made a soul connection with a giant male goat named Spice, pet and fed Capybaras,
made friends with two Padagonia Maras, went on a goat walk through a forest with 28 goats, two ponies and three alpacas. It was magical. Highly recommend if you need some animal therapy. by @aheartfullofghosts

Today was the last day of preschool for my current class. I want to write about all the feelings I have about saying goodbye to yet another magnificent group of children, but honestly it was an 11 hour day full of big emotions and lots of excitement, and I am thoroughly exhausted. I do want to share this special farewell present that I got from one of the kiddos. Apparently, he saw this metallic rose while out with his mom a few months ago and told her that it reminded him of me. It might be one of the most precious gifts and finest compliments I have ever received. by @aheartfullofghosts

Today is a heavy day. Right now my friends are gathering in the town where I grew up to celebrate the short life of my dear friend and confidant Amy, who passed away a few months ago. I should be there too, sharing memories of my beautiful friend. Life and work had other plans. Still, I am devastated to miss it.
Around 4 pm today, my gorgeous and resilient Aunt Barbara passed away. She was a fighter and a survivor until her last breath.
I am no stranger to the passing of loved ones. I have more close friends and family members on the other side than I should at my age.
I have learned is the importance of keeping a little piece of everyone you love close, whether just a memory, or in the way every person leaves bit of themselves with you, like an imprint you carry so they can live on. Last Saturday, I got this tattoo to honor my dad. I carry his words with me quite literally, in my heart, and on my skin. by @aheartfullofghosts

May we find our way back, over and over again to well boundaried compassion.

May the tyrants and the harm makers find their goodness in their shadows and may the good find access to their anger and fight; both are necessary. May the bloodshed, greed, starvation and harm being perpetrated by those who are inflated by that which does not belong with love, cease; like radiation it harms all who have contact with it.

May we begin the work of healing again and again; not to fix ourselves but as a way of loving ourselves home.

May we take life by the cheeks and kiss it as we see fit, with gentle tenderness or deep passion, may we love our lives completely.

May we all have the guts to see beauty, feel fleeting joy and grief and may we welcome those who have the heft to truly stand with us into our hearts.

Blessings on your year ahead dear human. by @aheartfullofghosts
