People often ask, “Why follow Jesus?” Well, I’ve found that natural words sometimes fail to express supernatural realities.

It’s impossible to sufficiently describe what “being under water” feels like to someone who has never been fully submerged. Words won’t do! Facts and knowledge won’t do! How about dunking them in the nearest swimming pool?! You would not have to formulate another word attempting to describe the sensation of being under water. All attempted explanations would be understood in a matter of moments.

This is like life following Jesus. Although the facts and arguments are present and the case for Christianity stands firm, it’s game over when you encounter the real Jesus (NOT religion) for yourself. You finally understand what they were talking about. The taste of the ‘luxuries’ that appear on the roadmap of life quickly lose their potence and you discover the true reason that you were born. This trip changed my life. All I know is that the blind left seeing (literally) the deaf left hearing (literally) and many lives, found LIFE through encountering the love of Jesus Christ.

God loves you! He wants relationship with you. The things we have done wrong separate us from God because he is perfect. BUT, he demonstrated his great love that he came himself, lived the spotless life we couldn’t, died on a cross, took the punishment that WE deserved, rose from the dead and today gives you an opportunity to have the very thing you have been longing for! You can be saved and have true eternal life by turning away from the self-centred life and following, putting your trust in HIM. The road isn’t easy but it’s sure worth it. Truth is the commodity that sadly cannot be purchased; It is to be discovered. Jesus IS his name.

I pray you would come as a humble objective investigator and dig in to the treasure for yourself. He alone gives true peace, unconditional love and purpose for the soul. Lay down the weapons! He loves you! This is his gospel! Start truly living by giving yourself for something worth dying for. Ask him to show himself to you! Let him in today❤️ by @aidanrdhaliwal
