Learning that consistency matters more than perfection.

That showing up, doing the work and taking the little steps, even when things aren’t quite how you imagined, is what moves you forward.

Less waiting for the perfect moment, more putting in the reps. ☀️

What is something you’ve been working towards lately? A little dream you’re slowly bringing to life? I’d love to hear! 💙 #artistjourney #buildingabrand #illustrator #artist by @aimeesicora

In a world of texts, notifications and everything digital, there’s something lovely about finding a little happy mail in your mailbox. 💌

November’s Sunshine Club is filled with illustrated cards, a little watercolour artwork and encouragement to help you send a little sunshine to someone else.

Because sometimes, the loveliest thing you can do is remind someone they’re thought of. ☀️

Sometimes, the things we really want to do are the easiest to put off. 💌

I created the Sunshine Club as a little monthly reminder to slow down, put pen to paper, and send some encouragement out into the world.

Each month, you’ll receive happy mail to inspire you to write and send a thoughtful note to someone you love. A small gesture can mean so much. ☀️

Have you been wanting to write more letters, too?

So hard to find that balance of being present, while your mind is always working on a to do list and dreaming up new ideas. How do you find that balance !? Let me know if you have any tips 😅 by @aimeesicora

You’d never know it from this peaceful little painting video, but earlier that day I’d discovered that TWO rooms in our house had flooded. 😩

I was stressed, overwhelmed, and had a hundred things running through my mind.

But I had a watercolor class to teach the following day, and I still needed to finish painting my sample.

So I sat down, picked up my brush, and started painting.

Before i knew it, my racing thoughts began to settle, I started to relax and felt a lot calmer.

Nothing about the situation had changed. The rooms were still flooded! But for a little while, I was able to slow down, be present, and find some calm in the middle of the chaos.

And it reminded me why I love encouraging others to get creative.

Making art isn’t just about creating something beautiful. Sometimes it’s about what the process does for us. 💗

You don’t have to be an artist to experience that, either.

So here’s your little encouragement to put your phone down, pick up a pencil, a paintbrush, or something creative, and give yourself permission to slow down.

I’m curious, do you find that doing something creative helps you feel calmer, too? ✨ by @aimeesicora

October’s Sunshine Club mail is on its way (or perhaps already in your hands!), and I can’t wait for you to open it.

There’s something so special about sending a little bundle of beauty and encouragement out into the world, knowing it will become part of someone’s day.

If you’re a Sunshine Club member, I’d love to know — has yours arrived yet? 💗

And if you’re new around here, the Sunshine Club is my monthly happy mail subscription, filled with whimsical watercolor paper goods, a little encouragement and everything you need to put pen to paper and brighten someone else’s day.
