Modern purification for air & surfaces
Designed and engineered by @mnml_dsgn

POSTS STORIES REELS

We didn’t even enter.
But a juror believed in Airea enough to nominate us for a Wildcard… and we WON an iF Design Award 2025.

Airea isn’t just another air purifier:
It doesn’t purify like a machine.
It purifies like the Earth.
• Biomimicry at its core
• Generates nature’s own H₂O₂
• No filters. No noise. No maintenance.
• Tiny footprint, huge 800+ sq ft coverage
• Hospital-grade protection
• Designed, funded + built by MNML in Chicago
• Manufactured in North America

We’re proud. We’re grateful. And we’re just getting started.

Thank you, @ifdesign and thank you to @wolf.moni who saw something in what we’re building.

Norovirus outbreaks are on the rise, and traditional air filters like HEPA simply aren’t enough to stop it. Here’s why:

🔬 Norovirus is a Tough Opponent
• A non-enveloped virus, Norovirus is resistant to detergents, UV light, and other traditional disinfection methods.
• It can survive on surfaces for 4 to 8 days, making surface contamination a major mode of transmission.
• Just one vomiting episode can release millions of infectious particles, forming an aerosolized viral cloud.

🌬️ Why HEPA Filters Fall Short
• HEPA filters are designed to trap airborne particles, but they do nothing for surfaces where Norovirus thrives.
• They also can’t address the air between people—the critical space where infection often spreads.

💡 How Airea’s H₂O₂ Technology Fights Back
• Airea generates natural H₂O₂ molecules, mimicking the way our bodies and nature purify themselves.
• These molecules actively neutralize airborne and surface contaminants, including resilient viruses like Norovirus.
• Unlike HEPA filters, Airea’s H₂O₂ particles exist throughout the air, including the space between an infected person and others.
• Proven to reduce pathogens by over 99%, Airea ensures continuous, proactive protection.

🛡️ Comprehensive Coverage
Airea doesn’t just filter air; it actively disinfects both air and surfaces—key to stopping Norovirus and similar resilient viruses.

💼 Real-World Impact
Whether it’s a healthcare facility, restaurant, or home, Airea delivers peace of mind with 24/7 protection. Say goodbye to outdated filters and hello to a proactive solution.
