Really special flights yesterday. Got to do volunteer flights with @eaa Young Eagles. Young Eagles gives kids a chance to experience aviation who wouldn’t normally have access to a small plane. Full circle moment as I had my first flight with Young Eagles when I was 7 years old in 1995! ✈️ by @airlammie

Landing in Leadville, CO the highest elevation airport in North America at 9934 ft MSL. You can see how fast the ground speed is because True airspeed is much higher than Indicated airspeed at higher altitudes. High density altitude is pretty interesting 🏔️ ✈️ .

Checked off a bucket airport last week - Leadville, CO. Highest airport in North America - 9934 ft MSL. Beautiful re-finished runway.
.

Density altitude was 11.5k which made for a slow takeoff roll but climbed out at 6-800 fpm. Totally doable in a naturally aspirated plane (our sr22 is NA) with some planning and W&B management.
.
Best part is I landed without pulling the chute!

The Final Chapter: Alaska Adventure - @chrislammert and I finish off the trip through #yosemite #deathvalley #lasvegas and #sedona on the way back to Austin. by @airlammie

First leg of the Alaska to Austin adventure in a single engine plane with @chip_malt - Anchorage to Vancouver in an SR22.

Had low ceilings and rain and got stopped at a mountain pass with a wall of clouds so we heroically turned around and made a good decision to stop for the day. Continued on through the Trench Route to Tok, Whitehorse, CA and on down to Vancouver. Some of the prettiest mountain flying I’ve ever done! 🏔️ ✈️

No really, I feel so high school 🥹 what is usually a 3+ hr drive took only 1 hr in the plane which meant more quality time with my parents. isl @chrislammert 🫶 by @airlammie

Landing a Cirrus in a field in Texas?! Who says an SR22 can’t be a STOL cowboy @cirrusaircraft #ad @airlammie @chip_malt .
