Six simple rules. But they weren’t created overnight.

Eat when you’re hungry.
Eat what you love.
Remove distractions.
Move daily.
Hydrate.
Protect sleep.

For @kimshapiramethod the thinking behind these principles developed over decades — and some of it came from places you probably wouldn’t expect.

A childhood experience led to a shopping habit. That habit eventually taught her something about how the mind holds onto urges, what happens when you create distance, and how our behaviors can build on one another.

Those observations kept evolving through her work, her radio show, and years of experience.

One lesson at a time. One layer at a time.

**Six simple rules. Decades in the making.**

She resisted it for years.
Because her whole business was built on her voice.
Her clinical expertise.
Her 26 years of knowledge.
Her desire to help.
And she was terrified that AI was going to take all of that away.
So she ignored it.
While everyone around her started using it.
While her kids used it for everything.
While the emails piled up and the content took hours and every single thumbnail and blog post and video was created by her from scratch.
And then she tried it.
Not all at once.
Not with a full strategy.
Just one small thing.
Polishing an email outreach to a surgeon.
Getting a content idea for LinkedIn.
Automating one task that was eating an hour of her day.
And it changed everything.
Shehla Rooney is a physical therapist with 26 years of clinical experience and the CEO and Creator of GoKnee. She is not a tech person. She does not pretend to be an AI expert. She is a healthcare professional who found a way to use AI without losing the one thing that makes her business work.
Her voice.
And she says she has barely scratched the surface.

You’re never really done building yourself.

Even after years of experience, growth, and success, there’s still more to learn, more to explore, and another version of yourself waiting on the other side.

When asked what she wishes someone had told her during her hardest season, Queenal’s answer was simple:

“It’s going to take time.”

You’ll learn. You’ll change. And one day, you’ll look back and be proud of the person you became along the way.

Because no matter how far you’ve come…

You’re never done building.

Nobody claps for the messy middle.

Everyone wants the before and after. Nobody posts the during.

The during is doubt. Late nights. Starting over more times than you admit.

But the during is where you actually become someone.

Keep walking.

Running a business. Leading a school. Studying law. HOW does she do it all?! 🤯

When Queenal asked Secret Doss how she manages three demanding responsibilities at once, her answer wasn't some magical productivity hack.

It was having the right people around her.💛

From colleagues who keep the school running to a business partner managing operations and a family that supports her behind the scenes, Secret knows she doesn't have to do everything alone.

But there's another piece to it: being fully present in whatever she's doing.

One project at a time. One responsibility at a time. Giving each her complete attention.

Because sometimes, managing it all isn't about doing more. It's about having the right support and making the time you have count.

If someone gave you 5 extra hours a week… would you really choose MORE WORK? 🤯

That’s exactly what @mymindfuleducationinc said.

When Queenal asked what she would do with five extra hours, Secret didn't say she'd take a vacation, relax, or catch up on sleep.

Her answer? “I would create more classes.”

Because for Secret, teaching isn't just about sharing information. It's about helping people understand something they once believed they couldn't learn. 💛

And seeing that moment when a student finally says, “I actually understand this!” — that's what makes it worthwhile.

Sometimes, passion isn't about wanting to work less. It's about wanting more time to make a difference.

Leading 25 people across five departments sounds impressive.

What you don’t always see is the mental load behind it.

For Secret Doss, working directly with massage clients is actually her happy place — a chance to reset, refocus, and be present.

Leadership is different.

Different personalities. Different backgrounds. Different responsibilities. And a lot of plates spinning at the same time.

Her answer surprised us:

The hands-on work isn’t the hardest part.

Leadership is.

Because sometimes the biggest challenge isn’t doing the work yourself — it’s carrying the responsibility of helping everyone else do theirs.
