Long caption but this is more so for me than for anyone reading this. Growing up I was raised a Brazil fan since Nicaragua was never good enough to make it to the World Cup and we had family in Brazil. My uncle would always visit during the holidays and he brought me a jersey that I still have to this day.

Any major tourneys from the CONCACAF to the World Cups my family and I would always cheer and root for Brazil. One of my fondest memories is being a 7yo in the Food Courts of Galerías (a shopping mall in Managua) watching EVERY game Brazil played until they eventually won the cup that year!

I remember 4 years ago when the US won the bid to host the next World Cup and going to a game is all my parents and I would talk about. Fast forward to this year the dream of going to a game ended up being just a dream cause my dad saw the prices and decided it was too much that with that money we could go on a family vacation. I knew he didn’t mean it and I knew deep down he still really wanted to go to a game.

Thankfully with some help from my sisters @adrianaaperezz_ and @scintillaontherockzzz we were able to buy our parents tickets to see our Brazil play IN OUR HOMETOWN!!! I’ll eventually attend a World Cup game in my lifetime but sending my parents to watch a World Cup game is way more than enough for me rn. Getting emotional writing this and just super thankful I am in a position that I could afford to give my parents such an amazing gift.
