POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s been around 49 days since I last did stand-up—no open mics, no lineup shows. Life kept getting in the way—rain, falling sick, or things just not falling into place. And honestly, it feels like I’ve been missing a part of myself. Sometimes I worry I’ll forget how to do it. I miss stage, I miss mic, I miss laughs. I just hope I can get back on stage soon—it’s time.

Meet me at moonrise 🌒 by @akashibaghel

29-July-2026

25-year-old Akashi could never have imagined what her 26th birthday would look like.

For the past couple of years, birthdays were not birthdaying. Last year, I celebrated mine entirely alone. If someone had told me then that a year later I’d be in a new city, celebrating with the people I love the most, I probably wouldn’t have believed them.

There’s something incredibly special about celebrating with people who don’t just mean the world to you, but who make you feel loved in return. That feeling is unmatched.

Thank you for every laugh, every hug, every surprise, every little effort, and for making this birthday one I’ll remember forever. You made up for more than you know.

To my homies, thank you for making a new city feel familiar, for showing up, and for reminding me that home isn’t always a place.

Thank you for being my home. 🤍
