Finding the best view sometimes calls for a change in perspective. But up here, you never have to leave your seat. Wherever you are, Akoya Star Lounge opens up into 360-degree sights of Ao Yon Bay and its shimmering waters. The only thing you need to think about: what is going to be your next drink for the night.

There comes a time in the evening when your favourite view goes from the one that surrounds you, to the one in front of you.

Think fresh ceviche, maki rolls, tacos, and small plates that are meant to be shared around the table. They may keep coming, but they never stay for long.

The sky has always been part of the Akoya Star Lounge story, so naturally the menu had to take a few cues from it too. Inspired by the way light shifts from day to night, distant galaxies and the mystery of celestial events, each signature creation brings a piece of the world above to your table.

One of them, Rayleigh Scattering, takes its name from the atmospheric phenomenon behind the sky’s changing colour, reflecting the wider galaxy concept that runs through the menu.

The views here may feel open, but the evening still belongs to you.

Perched 55 metres above Ao Yon Bay, the open-air rooftop of Akoya Star Lounge brings the sea, sky, and sunset light into view from every angle. But as the night deepens, the intimate indoor seating welcomes you to a more grounded setting, making each moment feel more personal and intentional.

Find your perfect spot above it all. Book your table via our link in bio.

Mongkol “Lek” Saengchud, Head Mixologist & Beverage Manager at Akoya Star Lounge, brings a distinctly Phuket point of view to every creation.

Growing up on the island shaped his connection to local culture, while his international and Bangkok experience broadened his approach to flavour. That comes through in First Light, inspired by Phuket Old Town’s morning kopi rituals and reimagined with Thai heritage coffee, local aromas and modern technique.

Since 2022, Lek has led Akoya’s mixology programme, drawing inspiration from the sun, sky, Ao Yon Bay and the nature around him.

Good food and creative drinks may set the scene, but it is the people around the table who make the evening worth remembering.

At Akoya Star Lounge, shared plates, easy conversation and time spent together turn a simple dinner into something that stays with you. Because the best evenings are often remembered for who you shared them with.

It starts with one glass, then ends with “maybe just one more”. Evenings here never go according to plan, but that is just how you and your friends like it.

There are sunsets, then there are ones 55 metres above Ao Yon. Uninterrupted and stretching across 360°, golden hour becomes a core part of your evening rather than just a background character.

A little bit of precision, a shot of creativity and a touch of alchemy. That is what takes place behind the bar at Akoya Star Lounge.

Leading it is Mongkol Lek Saengchud, our Head Mixologist & Beverage Manager, ranked among the top 5 mixologists across MGallery Collection hotels worldwide. Known simply as Lek, his approach blends global influences with Phuket’s own rhythm, reworking familiar ideas through a distinctly modern lens.

There is a little bit of sunshine in everything here, even the flavours. Fresh ingredients meet Peruvian inspiration in plates that brighten the day and complement Phuket’s warm evenings, while drinks are handcrafted to reflect the tropics: citrus, juicy fruits, fragrant botanicals, and plenty of colour.

It is not lonely at the top, it is where you feel connected to Phuket more than ever. Perched 55 metres above Ao Yon, Akoya Star Lounge gives you the sky, sea, and sand in an immersive 360° frame as you clink glasses, pass plates, and share stories.

Come for the golden hour, stay until the stars take over.

From the rooftop of Akoya Star Lounge, Ao Yon Bay opens up from one end of the horizon to the other, giving you a front-row seat to drifting boats, shimmering water, and skies that transform the longer you stay. The best part: there is nothing in between to break the spell.
