With the many changes in life, i remain true to my upbringing. I may pause, but I alw reinvent myself. This practice is of love and light. It is off and on the mat, but this time it led me to Spain.

As a newbie trained Yin teacher, I have studied, reflected, elevated and look forward to sharing the lessons and supporting asanas. A new chapter…

This band of baddies made the journey even more magnanimous. Shout Out to our Shanti Atma Ashram’s closing circle: @reallywildyoga @lalli_china @pilates_by_elena @vronnv @shantiatmayoga @mobileomwellness @rowena_rabbit by @alafiawellness

It's kind of divine that we're watching basketball today. It’s Mommi’s birthday. She played half court in the 50s and was a fan of the game more than any particular team. I miss her enthusiasm for life and b ball. I just miss so many things; but I couldn't be more honored, blessed, protected and well raised by her every calculated effort, educational integrity, clairvoyant wisdom and ceaseless faith.
Mina text at midnight to say, "happy birthday, Gran" on China time. A circle of love can never be broken. Barbara Lorena Moore, we speak your name. We stand on the backs of our Ancestors and Angels who Surround Us. by @alafiawellness

The Zero to Hero Star Wars run was a hit a hoot and a hotdayum good time. Our little Village of Huizhou knows how to lively up demself & you "can't run away" from the 💕 #teacherscreed🖤 #5k #starwarskids #huizhoucity by @alafiawellness

I have loved my career and alw find joy when my kids circle back every while in a once to let me know about the many roses and fe thorns of their journeys.

The ones who go into education empower me even more. The blessings they have and continue to bring to my life--by thinking and sharing and loving our memories can be neither dissipated nor downplayed.

It's nice to know my prayers over them, over all of us--Manifest👏🏾🙌🏾🙏🏾👊🏽. Happy Friday! Happy Chinese New Year. It's 2026, the year of the Horse 🧧🙌🏾🎊🌑💕👑🧧! by @alafiawellness

There are always options to doing nothing. No time zone, no space, no nothing should keep us from moving as a collective. Things will not get better with prayer alone. "Faith without works, is dead". Racism is distractor but fascism the goal. Imperialism is usurping the rights, will and energy of citizens and our immigrant friends. When they stole this land they committed. And that is the only savory page in this tragic chapter of Amerikkka--Commit to your Rights. Commit to our citizenship. America belongs to the good stewards of land, the black and Brown Original men, women and nations. Commit now, to protect the people you love, the less fortunate, the silenced, the mentally weakened. Commit and Act. Because too many good people have "died on their feet instead of living on their knees" for us to exist in the now. It's your turn. Do Something more than scroll. by @alafiawellness

Dr. Gloria Wade Gayles has joined the Ancestors.

A true light, challenger and supporter. "Claim Your Space" she would say, to fire us up. To pull the wheat from the chaff. To show the lavender of feminism, then purple of womanism. To make space for us to claim. To lead us into our greatness. She. Who poured love into analysis with whispers and a beat. Let yr heart catch up to your mind. Let the words surround you. See yourself in these pages. See your sister. We studied and we were: Images if Women in Literature. And so much more.

Our queen Kentake, who gave us lessons and names. The kind of mentor you could see every few years and her eyes would genuinely light up. Taking you back. And right there with you. She enunciated my name with perfect precision, just like Mommi--rich and royal but so full of love. The sound that grounded my soul at 17 just as much as it did everytime we crossed paths. An excellent mother, writer, lecturer, dynamic researcher, energetic mentor, educator and friend.

A gem on Spelman Lane who held sacred space for so many. Thank you, Dr. Gayles, i mean for everything. For showing us embraced imperfection with grace. For honor in grief of losing your mother and sharing what she hoped we would "never know, too soon". Thank you for the circle of love. For always being you.

We love you and will forever speak your name.

Thank you for the picture Dr. Harper. by @alafiawellness

I don't recall learning this, but I have lived a rich life of iverstanding from the many truths Dr. Charles Finch taught me, taught Us in our Spelman College days. Thank you, Sis for sharing. #RSC
