POSTS STORIES REELS

As a PADI Eco Center, we’re kicking off this season with a renewed commitment to marine conservation.

As an Observadores Del Mar Sentinel Center, we actively collect data on marine species and potential hazards during our dives and upload it to the global platform so scientists worldwide can access and use it.

Through our dives, we also remove and document marine debris, contributing valuable data to the PADI Protect the Blue program and helping to keep our oceans cleaner.

And, once again, we’re proud to train the next generation of ocean stewards through our Conservation Diver programs.

This summer, your dives can be more than just unforgettable experiences: they can be part of real change.

Together, we protect the underwater world we love.

Ready to join us? 💙

🌊♻️ As a PADI ECO Center, we’ve been actively collecting and recording all the marine debris we’ve found during our adventures this 2026 season.

Many of you have joined us in these actions, witnessing the growing pile of debris at our dive center—sadly, a clear reminder of the challenges our oceans face.

With the season coming to a close, here’s a quick summary of what we’ve collected this summer:

♻️ a total of 86.3 kg of marine debris.

🎣 16.8 kgs of fishing gear including ghost nets.

🍾 11 kgs of glass.

🫧 8 kgs of plastic.

🤿 sunnies, cans, snorkels, engine covers, pistols, anything you can imagine!

While our oceans are still heavily polluted, your daily actions are making a real difference. Together, we’re creating change for a blue future 💙

✨ Thank you for diving with purpose and being part of the change 🫶

Thank you for another incredible season! 💙

🐙 First breaths underwater.
🤿 Discovering the Mediterranean while snorkelling.
🏴‍☠️ Travelling back in time through our Pirate Cave.
🫧 Improving diving skills and building confidence.
🎉 Celebrating new graduates from our PADI and Conservation Diving courses.

And most importantly, caring for our ocean together.
Diving with purpose and being part of the change.
Every dive counts when it comes to protecting our blue future.

We’re going to miss the summer!

But we’ll stay connected here until the next diving season.
Love you all 🫶🫶

🤿 2 days of monitoring our Mediterranenan marine ecosystems.

🌊 From fish, coral and sea urchin census to monitoring our Posidonia oceanica prairies. Marine debris collection was a must during the two days.

♻️ This is what protecting the blue looks like in practice.

And yes, the last slide is mandatory 🍺

Thanks to the first “Protect the Blue” team! 💙
You set the bar high.

📸 The season is coming to an end, and the Albatros Diving photo folder is packed with proof that it’s been a great season.

Some images are from underwater, while others are... well, quite the opposite! 🤣

Protect the Blue Experience is our 2 day programme where you’ll learn to dive differently: collecting real data, monitoring ecosystem health, and contributing directly to the marine research taking place in the Mediterranean.

What we’ll do together:
💙 How we can drive real change.
🫶 Blue carbon ecosystems.
🐠 Fish and sea urchin census.
🤿 Monitoring and diving techniques.
🌱 Posidonia oceanica seagrass beds.
🍻 DecoBeer (of course!).

During each dive, we collect all marine debris found and contribute to the PADI Dive Against Debris program, where you will help the scientific community better understand the amount of debris found in our area.

You’ve already explored this sea.
This is your chance to help look after it.

🌊🤿 We don’t just dive. We take action 👉 In six months of the diving season, we’ve removed from the sea:

- Glass bottles.
- Cans.
- Plastics.
- Construction materials.
- Discarded fishing gear.
- And much more.

🌊♻️ Every item has been recorded and uploaded to the PADI Dive Against Debris platform, contributing valuable data that helps scientists monitor ocean health and protect marine ecosystems in the Mediterranean.

Dive with purpose.

Do you want to help monitor coral reefs? 🪸

On September 26, we’ll dive into action, and every observation counts.

As an Observatorio Centinela of Observadores del Mar, this September we’re joining their “Coral Monitoring Program”.

We collect and submit data that contributes to real marine research. That data helps scientists understand how our oceans are changing.

This is underwater citizen science.

Dive with purpose.

🌊 We Dived, We Breathed, We Pushed Our Limits! 🌊

The past few days have been a true masterclass. Listening to @miguel_apnea share his knowledge and analyzing the techniques of each of you has been nothing short of incredible.

Watching everyone push past their limits was absolutely breathtaking!

Above all, hosting such an amazing crew once again fills our hearts with joy. Thank you all for trusting us with this deep adventure! 💙

✨ Check out these stunning moments from the weekend!

🌊 PADI AWARE Week.
Over. But the mission continues 💪

This week, we didn’t just dive, we took action.
Together, we removed marine debris from our sea.

Every item was carefully logged and submitted to the global Dive Against Debris database, because data matters 👉 it helps scientists, policymakers, and conservation leaders understand the problem and work toward real solutions.

Thank you to all our divers for joining together for a cleaner, healthier ocean.
Not just this week, but every day.

Together for a blue future 💙

Citizen science makes a difference 💙

@botmar_ull and @belenrb12 are scientists studying the presence and current distribution of the invasive species Halimeda incrassata along our coast 🌱

Thanks to daily observations by our divers, we were able to confirm its absence in shallow areas, allowing the research team to optimise resources and focus their efforts on the deeper parts of the bay.

Scientific community and divers, diving with a purpose.
Together we Protect the Blue💙
