2018 Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid. Yes, it’s a big piece of kit. There’s a plug-in option you need to sort out. It feels nice though. As long as you stay away from cramped Dutch city centres. Not my type of car, of course, but we got along just fine. Company car approved kinda. OK, next! #porschecayenne #ehybrid #cayenneehybrid #magazinearticle by @albertmensinga1967

916 Spider Indian summer update.

Petrol prices are mad... On the other hand, my TS does perform pretty well with a 35-40 mpg appetite. Mostly lanes and rural roads, so only brisk acceleration every now and then.

September and October I was chasing new career opportunities and found them. Expect a change. I spent a few hours dipping my toes here and there. Hoping for some good news soon.

My Vredestein Ultracs were shot after three seasons, which was a bit of a disappointment because I hoped for more miles. @michelin PS4 opened up new potential though. One drive shaft caused vibrations at low speeds, and I had the spacers removed. The ride quality improvement is insane. Big thanks to @vanneerijnen_alfaromeo for the anual service and MOT. by @albertmensinga1967

1 februari 2026: Mete Erker Trio + 1

A BIMhuis bomb: pretty good gig.

Personnel: Mete Erker, Floris Kappeyne, Tijs Klaassen, Wouter Kühne

Today’s jazz is improvised music based on themes, feelings, memories and roots. Only one standard this evening: Moonlight in Vermont, played as a ballad. Funny fact: I play the tune in a bright up tempo. by @albertmensinga1967

24 April 2026: Lancia Flaminia workshop visit.
The many halls and sheds on this site hold a variety of cars. From AMC to classic Lancia, and other Italian thoroughbreds. Like the Intermeccanica Italia coupe.

This coupe was very well rebuilt and gorgeous. Under the hood sits a hipo 351 Ford Cleveland V8. The Italia has fab lines. The body was originally styled by Robert Cumberford from initial sketches and later refined for production by the renowned Italian designer Franco Scaglione.

Approximately 400 to 500 Intermeccanica Italia cars were built. #intermeccanica #intermeccanicaitalia #lanciaflaminiacoupé #lanciaflavia by @albertmensinga1967

DRS Maasvlakte 19 September 2026.
Last Saturday we drove to the Maasvlakte, one of the biggest industrial complexes you will ever see. We skipped the Portlantis viewpoint and enjoyed a snack at The Balkony of Europe snackbar. It’s hilarious and in a way, scenic.

The Maasvlakte is a massive artificial extension of the Port of Rotterdam built by reclaiming land from the North Sea. It hosts Europe’s largest container cluster and massive bulk transshipment. The newest section adds thousands of hectares of high-tech industrial space with deep-sea access. It supports giant chemical plants, power stations, and automated container terminals. #portlantis #balkonvaneuropa @lilywashere71 by @albertmensinga1967

Lisboa 10 February 2026 - A new day, again with rain... Happy with the superb Lisboa subway system. Next stop: Oceanario, in Cabo Ruivo. This underwater world basically is one huge bowl to walk around. Dinner at Luka: wow and wow. @lilywashere71 #lisboa #oceanário @oceanariodelisboa @lukalisboa.hi #caboruivo ThecLisboa area is quite a bit stretched out and you really need to take your time to travel from spot to spot. by @albertmensinga1967
