POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s almost been two years since I opened the doors to @alchemy.raum here in Brunswick.
Somewhere along the way, this little/vast space has grown into something I’m really proud of.
A place to not only call home but somewhere where people come to exhale and inhale!
To relax and release what their bodies have been carrying and reconnect with themselves.
The type of bodywork I offer is intuitive and responsive to the person and circumstance rather than one-size-fits-all.
I draw from Thai, Lomi Lomi, Marma, Ayurvedic and Eastern style massage techniques, alongside deep tissue, fascia work, stretching and nervous-system regulation.

Some days your body needs deeper, therapeutic work.
Some days it needs slow, grounding touch. Most sessions become a little of both; add a layer of sound and frequency tuning for the longer sessions.

I work predominantly with women, and sessions are shaped around you and what your body needs that day, whether that’s tension, stress, emotional overwhelm, disassociation, or simply needing to be held and rest.

After this big portal of holding this space in Brunswick, I’m feeling especially grateful for everyone who has trusted me with their bodies, stories and nervous systems and for all the people I’m still yet to meet.

If you’ve been thinking about coming in, perhaps this is your sign.

This year is serving the kind of death that happens while we are still alive.
Not the complete death of the body, but the dissolution of #identity. The unraveling of who we once were, what we believed, what we needed, and what we thought we could never live without.
#Transformation is leaving dimensions of perception and expectation behind, often becoming someone new, IN SPITE OF IT ALL.
And becoming can feel astoundingly like dying. Who we are becoming cannot fully emerge while we continue to identify with everything we have been.
The old self does not just disappear. It is met, witnessed, digested and integrated. Consumed by the very consciousness it helped create. Its stories, attachments, wounds, desires and ways of surviving are gradually absorbed into something larger.
The new does not reject the old. It eats it. Digests and metabolises it.
To transform can feel so uncomfortable, even when we consciously desire it.
The #grief of outgrowing ourselves.
Grief for the versions of us that kept us safe. For the #relationships that once gave us meaning. The familiar patterns that offered belonging, even when they eventually became too small to hold who we were becoming.
Often we mistake this dissolution for #loss, when what is actually happening is integration.
We are not losing ourselves, we are moving from the point of time, the loop of stagnation. The repeating lesson.
We are losing the need to remain who we were.
The parts of us we wish to transcend deserve our gratitude. Our mourning. They carried us here. They were necessary until they no longer were.
I guess rebirth is neither about destroying the old self nor inventing an entirely new one.
As I was working out on the floor earlier today right before recording this video, I felt the tears of grief running down my cheeks. What I came to fully embody in that moment after several realisations of this alchemy, esp over the past year is gratitude. Immense gratitude for being ALIVE. To be able to feel it all. The gift of grief, of being altered by life and the immense privilege to alter it back.
Nothing is wasted. What dies becomes life in Nature’s paradoxical, ouroborean re-cycling of consciousness ♾️ by @alchemy.raum

So much tension lives in the shoulders, elbows, wrists & palms, the fingers even. Not only from overuse, but from unexpressed movement, held emotion & a nervous system that hasn’t felt safe enough to let go, to exhale.
In my sessions, I place a lot of attention on rotation through the arms and shoulders. Not forceful manipulation but slow, intelligent spirals that invite the joints, fascia & nervous system back into conversation. Into articulation. Expression. Sensation.
Rotation restores flow. When the arms are rotated with presence, the shoulders soften & when the shoulders soften, the neck releases. Then the throat releases & breath deepens & when the breath deepens, the nervous system realises it doesn’t have to stay braced.
It all leads to the heart, that can finally open & process

I work intuitively, not aggressively or stuck to a protocol, using organic oils with herbal & plant infusions with calming, regenerative & heart-opening properties.
Lomi Lomi meets Thai, deep tissue & remedial work, not as separate techniques, but as a continuous flow & listening, that adjusts as the tissue reveals what it’s holding for every unique person & moment.

Above all, I offer devotional presence.
This means your body is not rushed.
Your breath is not corrected.
Your experience is not imposed upon.
It means your arms (often the most overworked and least tended) are met in order to restore awareness & connection/circulation in the part of the body that is responsible for giving & receiving. Your arms both take reality in & also create it. They are deeply connected to your throat chakra.

If you’re in Melbourne & this resonates come find me in Brunswick 🪬

Vicky of @feelinflow.co returns to @alchemy.raum for the second time, bringing another evening of sound, self-connection and a different way of meeting. ♾️
Created for singles aged 30–47, this intimate experience offers an alternative to dating-app fatigue, busy bars and rushed conversations.
The evening begins with a 45-minute live sound bath, giving you space to settle the nervous system, calm the thinking mind and ground a little more fully in yourself. From there, the experience moves into conscious connection, with guided conversations supported by Esther Perel’s ‘Where Should We Begin?’ cards.
With the group intentionally kept small, there’s room for conversations that feel genuine, relaxed and meaningful whether you meet someone special, make a new friend, or simply leave feeling more curious and connected to yourself and others.

🌿 this Friday 18 September at 7pm–8.45pm, in Brunswick.
For singles 30–47 who want to arrive with an open heart. Complimentary tea + nibbles included - you bring your authentic self and a little curiosity. 🤎
Bookings are limited to keep the experience intimate.

There are some experiences that are difficult to capture afterwards because they ask you to leave words behind for a while.
Soul Sanctuary: 432Hz Sound Healing with Soulphonious was one of them. 🐸
From the first breath and vibration, the room seemed to soften. Native flute, gong, bowls, tuning forks and electronic sound layered live moved together in a way that felt incredibly unique, more like being carried through the space.
It was calming, immersive and deeply grounding. A proper journey through sound, stillness, sensation and sober, altered states of awareness with moments that felt expansive and others that brought everything quietly back into the body.
I loved watching a room full of people gradually become still, each experiencing the same soundscape in their own completely individual way.
A huge thank you to Soulphonious for bringing such care, creativity and presence into the @alchemy.raum lounge room and to everyone who came, received and shared the journey with us.
And we already can’t wait to welcome @soulphonious back for another journey. 🌙✨

Until next time - till then you can find him co-creating with another magical space holder and soundscapist @jase_elkemist at @dancewave_aus this Saturday 19 September at the Northcote Uniting Church Hall 6-11pm 🪷 by @alchemy.raum

I’m Nektaria + I offer a consent-led, trauma-informed session blending therapeutic bodywork + gentle energy work to calm the nervous system, release stored tension. To bring you back to your centre.
Each treatment is unique + may weave flowing Lomi/Thai-style strokes, Abhyanga Ayurvedic oil-based techniques, Shiatsu acupressure, rhythmic stretches, Reiki-style holding, breath + sound. You’re always draped + pressure is tailored to you.
My treatments, offered in my Brunswick healing room nestled in a cosy corner of a converted little church are ideal for nervous system regulation + reset/general replenishment, integrating change (hormonal, physical, mental, energetic) as well as for insomnia, creative burnout, “stuck” emotions + spiritual/energetic blocks.
I don’t claim to heal anyone in any way shape or form but I do meet whatever is there with you/in you.

What to expect upon arrival? A 10-min check-in to set intentions + to remap what is felt in that moment. Upon discussion we can also dive into talk therapy prior to meeting the body, to unpack parts disowned + release the mind’s loops through our voice. Then we move into a 90 or 120-min devotional deep dive into your body’s needs through deep listening that guides the intuitive massage honouring targeted focus areas.
Quiet integration rest to close follows + unpacking if needed.
I tend to recommend the 120’ sessions especially to new clients as it’s a more holistic + well rounded journey for our entire system, seen + unseen. 90’ is the minimum time needed to create a rebalancing flow and allow the body to trust the hands that meet it in order to release + move + transmute energy.

I’m a mental health social worker, trauma-informed somatic therapist, multidisciplinary artist + writer. I’ve trained in different bodywork modalities, I’m a Reiki Master, Vocal Channel + as of late yoga, pranayama + breath practitioner. It will take me some time to viscerally embody the teacher title in those last three but I’ll keep being a student of those that study with me.

If you feel called to work with me get in touch via dm, comment or secure your melting spot via the 🔗 in by @alchemy.raum
