Welcome to ALD Plant Design!

We are here to bring you closer to nature; to share our love of plants and their surrounding ecosystems with you!

Within the High Country, we provide designs and consultations for your garden (size doesn't matter- we do anything from a container garden to a large scale garden!), and installs for indoors as well as outdoors. We look forward to sharing the joy of nature with you one plant at a time!

Thank you for joining us on our journey. by @ald.plantdesign

BEWARE! When you hire us to plant up your containers, you might find yourself jealous of how much fun we’re having playing with plants😉

Rain or shine, we’re always taking care of your plants. Did someone say detail oriented?!

If you’re trying to blend in, you might wanna swipe left

Is this waddle a regular occurrence? Not sure, how about you tell me?

Someone give this guy a raise!

Hallo ihr lieben Pflanzen leutchen by @ald.plantdesign

Anyone else have to tell their family WAY too many times how to take care of pants- spoiler alert- it involved cutting back your plants🤪😅 by @ald.plantdesign

I eat, sleep and breathe plants! These are all for Blowing Rock projects. #containerdesign #blowingrocknc Which one is your favorite? by @ald.plantdesign

My job is 500 different things in one, but I LOVE it! Every day is a new challenge. Learning new things, going to new places, talking to new (and old) friends. Life is good by @ald.plantdesign

Let’s just forget about Chat and the rest of the madness in the world and enjoy this butter-boo🦋🌸 by @ald.plantdesign

Ok in all honesty, I THRIVE on a tight deadline so of course I woke up at the crack of dawn to get this sweet little lady’s container gardens ready for her friends. Slowly getting back into the rhythm of creating again! Spring in the high country is SUCH a test on plants- these cuties went through a 40 degree temperature after being installed holy WOW! by @ald.plantdesign

And I’m happier (and busier) than ever😊 by @ald.plantdesign

Little did you know High Country springs are false 3 times before they’re real- that is, if we even get a spring😅 is this new information for you? Cool, let me share some more with ya: 1. Hardy plants still need to be hardened off and get accustomed to the cold (assuming they came from a greenhouse where it’s nice and toasty) 2. Just because a nursery has a plant in bloom right now, it does NOT mean that that plant should be in bloom naturally at this time of year (spoiler: not a lot of plants are in bloom in the high country this time of year) 3. A plant in full bloom right now, means it’ll probably be done blooming soon. I’d go for the plant in bud if you were you😉 by @ald.plantdesign

The fries that someone tossed into these planters really got to me… but hey, one person’s trash can another person’s garden- that’s how the saying goes right?! by @ald.plantdesign

Until then, this is where you’ll find me on my ‘off’ days😅 Hi, I’m Annika and I LIVE for plants and making beautiful creations with them. I’d love it if you joined me on my journey on plant-ifying the High Country❤️💐 by @ald.plantdesign
