I’m so excited to join the artists of @sunvalleycontemporarygallery and share the story behind my underwater work 📸🌊 In a world of constant noise, I create underwater art that invites you to dive into a feeling of presence, flow and wonder. My process has two stages. The first happens in the water: spontaneous, unstructured, guided by the natural elements. The second is meticulous. I work on each image section by section, the way a painter works a canvas, bringing in my colors, my imagination and my structure until the image comes alive. I call this “painting with light.” My wish for everyone living with my work is to feel what I feel in that first immersion: the presence, the peace, that one breath underwater that feels so alive, so freeing, so vibrant. A daily reminder that this moment is always within reach. ❤️ #UnderwaterPhotography #FineArtPhotography #ContemporaryArt #Artist by @aldaraortega

Model, underwater artist and empanada lover 🥟 Nice to meet you ✨ I was born in Madrid, where I studied fashion design and worked as a designer for a hot second. Thanks to modeling, I've traveled all over the world and also lived in Italy, Brazil, South Africa and Germany, then spent 13 years in New York, where I started my art career. Today I call Miami home. Some of you know me from the fashion world and some from my underwater art, so here's a little more about the woman behind both. My artistic practice focuses on underwater portrait photography, and outside the water I'm a photographer who loves making people feel fantastic and comfortable in front of my lens. A few fun facts: - People often mistake my underwater photographs for paintings - I buy myself flowers every week, and I love receiving them too - Farmers markets are my weekend ritual, and empanadas are my forever guilty pleasure - Put on salsa or samba, or invite me to a Zumba class, and I'm happy - I love water sports, especially wakesurfing and e-foiling, and I'm making more time for them - I love to wake up early and meditate by the ocean - My happy place is the ocean, but I absolutely love the mountains, hiking, and snowboarding in the winter Traveling fuels me. I love discovering new places and going back to the ones I love, and my favorite moments are with friends, family and good food. I'm always happy to meet like-minded souls, so come say hi. Portraits and fashion: @aldaraphotostudio Fine art: @alo.arts 🌊 Now your turn: what's the little thing that always makes your day? Qué verano tan bonito 💜 Last hours of summer, savoring every memory 🌊☀️ Thank you for the salt water, the sunlight, every moment of freedom, for my family, friends and new friends. I carry this light with me into fall. ✨ Happy equinox, everyone! Summer glow ☀️ or fall flow 🍂? #fallequinox #HelloFall by @aldaraortega
Make a wish 🌬️ feel it ✨✨✨ #dolomites #italy #travels #eurotrip by @aldaraortega
Trusted my inner compass. Followed my intuition. And just like that, I found myself again 🇮🇹 in the Dolomites. One of the most breathtaking views I’ve ever earned. Lake Sorapis via Rifugio Cristallo ⛰️ 6.6 mi • 2,539 ft gain • A challenging hike, but so worth it. I do believe, those who are meant for your journey will find you, as you will find them. ✨ #italy #dolomite #hike #joy by @aldaraortega

Discovering Venice and all its wonders 🇮🇹✨😍 Grateful for this adventure, and the best part is sharing it with friends, women who inspire me endlessly, brilliant, creative and fun. We wandered, we laughed, and we made friends along the way! I’m amazed by Venetian hospitality and a city that shows you what magic feels like 💫 #venice #eurosummer #ladolcevita by @aldaraortega
