Ok this took a LONG TIME, I started this drawing February 16th and spent 10 hours doing the pencils and ink in my one day. Then I’ve been doing the colors on and off since then finally it is DONE.

Did not know it was EVA 30th anniversary so that was a fun thing to time right lol.

The drawing is 24 x 18 inches, using traditional techniques, pencils then all inked with a dip pen and spot blacks with a brush. Then finally watercolor.

Charcoal animation done in one sheet of paper, drawn and erased around 200 times. Channeling my inner William Kentridge.

Animación echa con carboncillo en una solo pagina de papel que borre y redibuje cerca de 200 veces. Intenta replicar al Maestro Sudafricano William Kentrige by @alejotorocomic

I’m happy to announce that my piece Cangaço has been selected for The Society of Illustrators LA Illustration West 63 show.

This is a carborundum print I did while I was studying abroad at @jcurome_ad

Thank you to all the judges and @societyofillustratorsla for making the start of my new year very positive

A portrait I did of Marjane Satrapi while I was at RISD.

Her Graphic Novel Persepolis left an enormous mark on my younger self while I was trying to become a cartoonist. She taught me that its not how the drawing looks but how you use the drawing to tell a compelling Story. Rest in peace

Descansa en Paz Marjane by @alejotorocomic

Dragon Ball Z Villains 42: Super Android 13

This series will likely go on hiatus again since I’m hoping to start a zine comic soon, but I will definitely finish it in the future
