Planning your training this week? Don’t just lift 👀

Lifting builds your power. Swimming builds your engine (lungs, cardio, recovery) without hammering your joints.

You don’t need to be a “swimmer.” I’m a regular gym guy in London mixing both, and it’s changed how I train.
Gym, pool or both this week?

Shoulder tight after swimming? Try these 2 before your next session 🏊🏻‍♂️

1 Band pull apart slow and controlled, wakes up the upper back so my shoulders sit better for a longer reach

2 Thread the needle, rotate through the upper back: makes my body rotation and breathing feel easier

Small things every session

Save it for your next swim. Which one will you try first? 👇🏻

A week of hybrid training: swim + gym 🏊🏻‍♂️🏋🏻

Monday: swim build the engine
Tuesday: barbell strength
Wednesday: easy swim technique
Thursday: conditioning
Friday: swim,speed
Saturday: gym + swim
Sunday: Rest

Build on land, used in the water. Most swims easy, one fast day, strength l in between.

This is my week, built for my level and goals, what dose yours look like? 👇🏻

3 gym moves I use for swimming🏋🏻 ➡️🏊🏻‍♂️

1 Thrusters: leg drive and power overhead
2 Devil press: full-body power,like a strong push off
3 Ring muscle-up: pulling strength for the catch

Strength first then use it in the water.

Save it for your next session. Which one would you try first? 👇🏻

Swim with me: 2000m in about 1hour 🏊🏻‍♂️

Warm up: 400easy + 4x50 drill
Main set: 6x200 steady 1:00rest
Cool-down: 200easy

What it’s for: building my base. Steady 200 at a pace I can hold on every rep, not all-out.

Why choose? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Pool for the engine. Gym for the power. Repay every week.

Gym strength > water power

Explosive pop ups at the wall, then straight into butterfly.

Would you try this before your fly set? 👇🏻

Slow flip turn? It start before before the wall 👇🏻

Hold the wall, kick hard for 10s, then flip and push off tight.

3-4 reps, full rest. Faster turns, stronger legs

Send this to your swim buddy 🏊🏻‍♂️

Muscle-up - butterfly same move? 🤔

Pull with the lats, push with the triceps. One’s over the rings, the other’s through the water.

The gym won’t fix your stroke, but it builds the power behind it 💪🦋

Shoulders sore after swimming, pressing or sitting all day? 😖

Weak upper back + rotator cuff = cranky shoulders. Here’s what I do to keep mine strong 👇

1️⃣ Prone swimmers
2️⃣ Row to external rotation
3️⃣ Single-arm Y raise
4️⃣ Side plank DB raise

Go light. 2–3 sets of 10–12, slow and controlled.
Which one burns the most? 👇

💾 Save this for your next upper-body day
(Persistent pain? See a physio first.)
