NEVER in my ENTIRE LIFE have I locked in so hard to try and hit an impossibly high vocal harmony on stage 😂 but I (mostly) did it! This is probably my favorite of all the song transitions we in @wttn.bloomington do in our setlist.

For context, I came across this mashup on Instagram (big shoutout to @wake_shore!). This version of Valerie is from the Amazon Prime show The Runarounds, which is a show about a fictional band. It's the same key as Kilby Girl by Backseat Lovers, which is already in our set, so I made it part of our show last night!

The audience had no idea it was coming lol

#HarryStyles enjoyers, this one's for you 🤘

Baritone time! New gear day 😍🥹 Super stoked to have picked up a used Orangewood Del Sol baritone guitar.

In the few hours I've had it plugged in, it's a great instrument to play. Really happy with the deal I got, but most importantly, how it sounds! The P90s are just what I wanted in a guitar for the niche use cases I'll be playing it in. Love how the P90s sound out of phase in the middle position too. 27.5" scale length.

For anyone who hasn't heard of this kind of instrument before, think of it as a 7 string guitar but without the high E string. It's usually tuned BEADGB, but regular guitar chords are played. It's like a normal 6 string tuned down 5 frets. And the strings are slightly longer and thicker to account for the lower tuning.

See this guitar and more at a Bluebird stage near you soon 😂 by @alex94kumar

Not my birthday, but 31.71 years, AKA 1,000,000,000 birthseconds old! Thanks to a reminder in my phone from 12-13+ years ago, I decided to throw a get-together tonight with my favorite people at my favorite place (@heartworkbrewing) celebrating my one billionth second living on this planet.

Cheers to the next billion seconds/31.71 years 😂 🍻 by @alex94kumar

Went out of my comfort zone and played Linger (the Royel Otis version) solo during @wttn.bloomington's set at The Bluebird @thebluebirdbar last night. While I may have self-critiques over the quality of my vocal performance, the energy of the MASSIVE crowd completely outweighs them. I'm still super glad I went ahead and gave it my best shot! The only way to get better is to keep trying 😎👉👉 by @alex94kumar

Our album release is approaching. Indiana friends, please join us for a show if you can make it! #bloomingtonindiana #livemusic #singersongwriter #folk #jazz by @alex94kumar

Last night still feels like a dream. So glad I spent the majority of the game with my friends at @heartworkbrewing! The energy in that building was unmatched! Here are just a few photos I shot during the game before hurrying down to Kirkwood to fly the drone to capture the crowds in the streets.

Swipe➡️ | My Mavic 3 Pro did a great job capturing the Aurora tonight, even at ISO 6400! (With a lot of denoise in Lightroom of course 😂) I was tetering on the edge of motion blur with the high winds and 1-2s shutter speeds I was trying out. But I like this composition with Smith Rd splitting the center of the frame! 300ft altitude.
