Spring Semester. This spring was the first time that Athens didn’t feel new, just… normal. Not any less exciting, but normal in the sense that it finally, truly felt like home. Making it past the uncertainty of being somewhere new allowed for much more substance to fill the gaps and for so much more time to be spent with the amazing people I’m so grateful to be surrounded by. It was a semester made up of people showing all the care they have for the friends they love most, and a semester shaped by admiration for what came before. A semester that, because of all this, was just a good ol’ time. Flowers for the ones you’ve known.💚 _________________ More of the incredible people in this post: @ino418_ @haydenjagammell @jaxon_birdy @ben_jarrell23 @d_is4dawson @demoss_carter7 @ea_sports.98 @rowan__williams110 @kurtis_with_a_ck @genesis1247_ @cadenmil @phia.beshara @makenna_davis0 @carson_moore1 @maecyvoytek @lifeandfireincarnate @bankswrobert @angelique.millerr @luke_naymik @shelbyheist @jaydenholza @tablecloth17 @sillylizzie21 @xandrarowan @rufusthebobcat Slide 2: @maxfieldcreative Slides 11 & 12: @prims.photography by @alex_michnowicz
Marching 110 Sophomore Season💚 Everyone will tell you that there’s no feeling like experiencing your freshman season, but everyone forgets to explain the unreal feeling in realizing that you get to do it all again. This season presented us with challenges that the 110 has never faced in its storied history, and we faced them head on with that good ol’ pounding drive. Now, roughly halfway through my career in the 110, I still haven’t begun to know the full impact of what we do. Something I heard repeated many times this season was, “The 110 changes lives,” and that thought is what continued to motivate me throughout. I think back to my first training week and how hard I worked just to hold a steady “up into 4,” and I think about what that starry eyed incoming member would want me to do each and every day that I step out on the field. It’s no question that the 110 has changed my life for good, and knowing that one electric performance could lead another starry eyed audience member down the same path as us is worth every drop of sweat that falls into our eyes. Most of us in this band were once that audience member with astronomical aspirations, and here we are; 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years into the most exciting chapter of our lives. We’ve worked for so much more than ourselves. It’s for those who march side by side with us, those who came before, those who will come after, and those who work hard so that we can. So thank you to every shining personality who donned the uniform this year; the staff, TAs, directors, audience members, parents, and managers who made this unbelievable season possible. Because even in the broader marching arts, most people will never experience what we were fortunate enough to experience in just this one season, and we couldn’t do it without all of the support from outside the block. I’m so grateful for what’s come and gone, and I can’t wait for what lies ahead. ’Hio. hOUmecoming 2025! The most wonderful time of the year! An absolute honor to march again alongside my incredible glorious amazing Big (@_allimckee_), my awesome Grandbig and so many other alumni who we missed so very dearly. Spring Semester. Leaving this semester full of love for my Athens family and the little life we’ve made for ourselves. Missing the laughs, the hugs, the burnout, the stress; all of it. Because we did it all together. Relax. It’s fine. Just give it time. Marching 110 Freshman Season💚 What an unbelievable season, I’m still trying to process everything that we accomplished together but while all of that loads, I can at least say that this season has been without a doubt one of the greatest experiences of my life. I think I can speak for myself and so many others when I say that when we joined the 110, we didn’t just join a marching band and we didn’t just make new friends, we became part of a family; the biggest, loudest, most groovy family in the land. It’s easy to feel like I still have so much time left with this band but with a whole season of my 110 experience in the past, it’s clear that these early memories are some of the most important. I’ve met so many incredible people who have become some of the closest friends I’ve ever had, and having the opportunity to spend every day with such inspiring people is something I’m so lucky to have. I’m eternally grateful for all the love and support the 110 shows each of its members, and for the hard-driving nature that it instills into each one of us. Being able to march alongside my friends, my family and especially my big, gives me a reason to work harder every day and prove myself both on and off the field. I learned so much from our amazing directors, staff, GAs and all of my peers, but I learned the most from my big. Any time I’d meet a new member, I was proud to declare that my big was Alli McKee. Her legacy is the tradition that our family is here to pass on, from her big, to her, to Lilly and I, each step we march is taken in the footsteps of the people who came before us, and it’s our job to make sure that their hard work never leaves the field, even when they do. So thank you to everyone who’s shared their shining presence with the 110 for making this year and this tradition so unforgettable, and here’s to carrying on the tradition into the years ahead. ‘Hio💚 ________ More awesome amazing people to tag! @bethany.wise @mace.miller39 @evan.malott34 @maecyvoytek @bankswrobert @abby_williams110 @logan____nicholas ________ Slides 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12 photo credit | @nick.bolin Nick Bolin - nickbolin.com by @alex_michnowicz

Senior Year💚 - It’s hard to sum up such what was such an important year in just a minute and a half, but behind every one of these memories is a story. Not all of it was perfect, but thanks to the most amazing group of friends I’ve ever had and the energetic and vibrant communities we all got to be a part of; all of those stories come together to make up the best year of my life.
