Hi sheepie lovers! I’m raffling off this giant natural sheepskin rug I made (valued at $600) to raise money for grad school! I’m heading to England this fall for a masters in wildlife conservation & thought I’d try something fun. (plus I can’t bring all my sheeps with me :) 🎟️TO ENTER: 1. Raffle tickets are $33 each. Venmo alextomb, or message for PayPal!. Each $33 donation = one entry. Enter as many times as you want! 2. Share this post to your story! 3. DM me with your name & number of entries :) *shipping not included* 💧ALUM TAWED - this sheep is finished (or “tawed”) with a mineral (alum) and is best kept dry - use her indoors! Immense gratitude to those of you psyched to welcome a bit of wild from my hands into your life. If you wish to simply buy a sheepskin rug from me, I have more in stock I’m selling before I head abroad :). Prices start at $450. Message me for details! Big sheepie love <3 by @alex_tomb

I’m back from Spirit Weavers with a new love and appreciation for hides 🙏🏻 Our amazing teacher Alex walked us step by step through this deeply grounding process and guys! She’s such a bad ass! And thank you to Stillwater for guiding us as well 💓 Thank you to Rachelle, Alex and Stillwater for capturing me in this moments 🙌🏻 And shout out to Dress Your Soul for these amazing Fits 🌿 #hidetanning #earthmagic #naturecrafts #sidequest #summer by @alex_tomb
We just spent the last 3 days down by the river at @cedarbloomfarm teaching fat tanned sheepskins as our offering for @spiritweavers sun session. We worked in 90 degree weather, cooling off in between working. What a gift to share this craft and sheepy love with beginners! Grateful to @alex_tomb for including me as a co-facilitator and calling me into the loving embrace of the hide hut. Excited for moon session and deepening with craft, women and this landscape 🐑💕🌈💧 by @alex_tomb
a healthy dose of cowboy caviar + prancing around under the desert sun & stars with sweet friends leaves me feeling full in more ways than one :) i love this wild & winding life and land! 💛🌵 overflowing thanks for the sheep whose lives continue to teach and nourish me 🙏🏼🐏 by @alex_tomb
sheeeepies for sale! Details about each hide listed below :). Message me or comment to claim. Feel free to ask questions or for more photos! Prices range from $150-$350 depending on size and sheep (shipping not included). Each of these hides went from raw salted skins to naturally tanned sheepskin rugs with my hands, and a combination of minerals, plants, fat and smoke :) this batch taught me a lot about perfection… and letting it go. Fat tanning in the winter comes with challenges, bark tanning while moving between houses presents (sticky) obstacles, and the sheep from this source have proven to be *very* grassy (which made me want to tear my hair out). They are each perfectly imperfect (and priced as such). I am now nine hides more practiced :) 1. SOLD💧Vanilla - white with long wool 2. SOLD💧Cardamom - white with long wool 3. SOLD🔥Cocoa - large! golden brown tips with short, plush wool 4. SOLD🔥Clove - lighter brown, medium length wool 5. SOLD🔥Pepper - large black and white spotted *hair sheep* 6. SOLD🔥Poppy - fuzzy black, medium length wool 7. SOLD🔥Ginger - long brown golden wool 8. SOLD🌱Sesame - fuzzy black, medium length wool 9. SOLD🌱Nutmeg - large! short, plush brown wool 💧ALUM TAWED - the sheep finished (or “tawed”) with minerals (alum) are best to keep dry - use them indoors! 🔥FAT + SMOKE - these sheepies will smell smoky (like a campfire), for a little while 🌱VEG TAN - these were tanned with mimosa extract & have some water marks on them from a post tanning wash :) Some still have grass & hay in the wool, as is the nature of sheep. I preferred to leave them like that versus brush out their sweet natural curls. But they can be brushed out as you wish! ❤️ by @alex_tomb
