Back to my overdue Japan flashbacks.

The 10,000 torii gates of Fushimi Inari Taisha are a must-see and the internet will tell you to get there as early as possible to have these quiet moments with no one in your photos. The good news is, it’s a big area, if you walk far enough and take your time, you will get the shot.

Eight years exploring the world underwater. Thousands of memories and special moments. This year took me on two unforgettable dive trips, and 45 dives, a record year! I hit my 200th dive in Socorro, Mexico with an incredible group of women and got to reunite with some favorites in Komodo, Indonesia. I crossed some exciting encounters off my bucket list including dolphins, a humpback whale, a Spanish dancer nudibranch, coconut and mimic octopuses, and oceanic mantas. Can’t wait to see where I end up in year 9!

Which is your favorite Mt. Fuji shot?

One of these did require climbing 400 steps. There was much sweating.

Sometimes, I like to see the world above the water too. Crazy to think this was a year ago!

It’s impossible to explain how special these people, this boat, and this place were. The vibes on this trip were absolute ✨perfection✨ and I kept getting caught in my feels, thinking about how beautifully this group has meshed together. This was a third trip together for many of us and I can’t wait for the next one, 2029 is just too far away!

It’s hard to capture the movement underwater with photos. I love how anemones and clownfish always appear in motion!
