🦵 Knee CARs

CARs — controlled articular rotations — are one of the main tools in FRC training, and there’s one for every joint. This is the knee version.
Most people think of the knee as a pure hinge — it bends and straightens, end of story. But the knee also needs rotation to work properly, and a lot of people are limited in it. That missing rotation is exactly what this trains.

Prone overhead shoulder hovers , these hovers target strength with your shoulder in flexion and external rotation, this is essentially strength with your arms over head and your palms turned upward, regular surfers get super strong in their down ward pulling and internal rotation strength , there for they need the opposing movements to balance their shoulder muscles and keep them healthy . Do these for 10- 20 reps as often as possible if you surf a lot . by @alexfata_mobility

Do you ever wonder why you get stiff? Stiffness is the nervous system getting bored and forgetting what movements it has available to it, When you do the same movements over and over your nervous system forgets what it can do. If you want to be able to access your joints full range of motion you have to remind the nervous system what it forgot and use that full range in a controlled manner. What if I told you intelligent movement was a nutrient? by @alexfata_mobility

Thoracic rotations. The upper back is very prone to stiffness, especially among desk workers or people who drive a lot. Lack of mobility in the thoracic spine can lead to shoulder pain, lower back pain, and other things, especially if you're active. The thoracic rotation mobilization is a very simple and valuable exercise you can do right at your desk or in your car. In this video I'm using a foam roller braced between my abdomen and a wall to get the positioning right. Do these every day for 5-10 reps in both directions. by @alexfata_mobility
