Being ambitious really has its perks! by @alexiazzog

Dreaming small was never my thing anyways 🥹

Dancing With The Stars has meant everything to me for as long as I can remember. Growing up I dealt with horrible anxiety. I could barely make it to school or dance without crying, let alone perform or compete. I met the cast of this show in 2016 for the first time, and my life changed forever.

The people I’d only ever admired from afar were kind to me, encouraged me, and truly saw me. As a young & insecure dancer who was desperate for my talent to catch up with my passion, their support meant the entire world to me. The warmth in their smiles, the genuine joy to interact with their fans, and their gratefulness for the many… many letters I’d written them over the years… DWTS always made me feel like I mattered in a world where I felt invisible.

The opportunity to intern for @dwtscon_official has surpassed my wildest dreams. From watching the cast rehearse and interacting with them backstage, seeing their genuine kindness and hard work when the cameras are off, and witnessing the passion of their incredible team that makes it all possible. I am in complete awe.

To @nikolevallins and everyone at @wearefaculty - Thank you for trusting me. Thank you for taking a chance on the girl from PA, and allowing me to join your team at such an important and formative time in con’s creation. As my first internship post-grad, I am so beyond blessed.

Thank you DWTS Con, I will never forget you 🩵 by @alexiazzog
