Lil appreciation post, so many surprises at the end (my bad if we didn’t have a picture together) by @aleximiner

Dear mom,
This is a letter that I never wanted to write. I’m sorry we didn’t always see eye to eye with each other. I was not the easiest kid to raise growing up and the addition of me and Diana being our usual disruptive selves definitely didn’t help. Throughout these past few weeks I have reflected on all the times we fought and all the times where you had to deal with a child who was confused at his life’s situation. I thought about all the anger and all the pain that I had held towards you as a child due to our unusual circumstances and how I wish that I could have understood our situation from your eyes. I also reflected on the good. Like how you managed to make us amazing meals on a nightly basis, or how you would single handedly prepare the house for various holidays. How you had a CD or a cassette playlist for every situation. How you would take me and my friends apple picking every year even when I forgot to plan for it. Throughout all the good and all the bad you made me the man I am today, a man you would tell me you were proud to call her son. This is something that I am forever grateful to you for.

Thank you to all the friends and family who have reached out and offered kind words, prayers, and love throughout the last few weeks. This process would be infinitely more impossible to get through with out you. by @aleximiner
