Scottsdale Adventure Club: not another pickleball club 🥒 by @alextrentuncut

I went on an entrepreneur retreat to Yellowstone, Montana last year with 14 other successful men. It was seriously life-changing, but I wanted to see if the changes would actually stick. Eight months later, here are three lessons that have lasted:

1. Do tough things regularly that push you out of your comfort zone. Our ancestors didn’t play it safe, and that’s why we’re here today. Getting uncomfortable is just part of being human.

2. Surround yourself with motivated, positive people who inspire you. Being around so many successful guys was a game-changer. Put down your phone and actively seek out the right people.

3. Spend time in nature - it’s humbling. Those mountains and stars were here way before us, and they’ll be here long after we’re gone. Keep things in perspective and don’t sweat the small stuff. We’re all just a tiny part of a much bigger story.

Had fun with this crew for the 2nd episode of “The Attraction Lab” in Scottsdale. 3rd one records tonight in Vegas, and then I’ll be back in Scottsdale soon after to record the 4th. Then who knows? Maybe time to take this show on the road! by @alextrentuncut

What looks like “out of nowhere” is the final frame of a long, silent calculation.

The mate-switching hypothesis (Buss & Shackelford): Women’s psychology evolved to track two things at once —

Your value as a partner. And the value of alternatives. It runs in the background. It updates slowly.
