A month filled with gratitude πŸŽ‚πŸ™πŸΎ πŸ₯€πŸ₯€#octoberbaby by @aliceee_.a
(2/2) Still reflecting on the journey. I remember six years ago having to decide between UCLA, UC Berkeley or UC Davis after getting into all three. I chose Davis and I’m thankful for the journey and the community although the quarter system gave me nothing but stress. I was able to serve the Davis campus for five and a half years through many roles and student involvement. I’m nonetheless grateful for the journey. A proud Aggie πŸ’›πŸ’™ and we are needed now more than ever in higher education. Had to rep my πŸ‡¬πŸ‡ in the 3rd slide Fun fact I needed to submit a SAP appeal to get all three minors approved because I maxed out my units (270) 😭 by @aliceee_.a
Six years later, with 6 months off during, and years of hard work, late night studying till 3am, anxiety over midterms scores, balancing leadership roles with classes that were stressful, dealing with grief from the loss of family members and more I finally made it. So grateful and thankful to God and for my family, my loved ones and my support system. Bachelor’s of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior Minors: Social Ethnic and Gender Relations, African and African American Studies and Public Health (Yes 3 minors 😭). #ucdavisgrad #blackgirlsinstem #blackgrad #neurobiology πŸ’„: @glam_bymariaaa of courseee πŸ“Έ: @fisolens by @aliceee_.a
