End of October in Berlin!

For Deaf & hearing audiences with or without babies and children

🌊 L’Ocean
Presented by La Cage
at Ballhaus Ost, Berlin

a multisensory dance & music performance by La Cage, exploring the contradictions of parenthood — tenderness, exhaustion and intimacy.

October 31. 2025 @20h
November 1. 2025 @11h & 17h

**The first three performances are for adults, with or without babies up to 2 years old.

November 2. 2025 @15h

** The last performance is an adaptation for older children & families as part of the SCHRUMP! series

⛲️At the heart of the performance is a saltwater fountain, extending into sculptural furniture where audiences can lie down, feel rhythmic vibrations, and sample liquids.

Composer Genoël von Lilienstern blends New Age influences, field recordings, microtonal synthesizers, voices, and subsonic sound, while the performers guide the audience through intimate sensory experiences.

Voice, choreography, vibration, taste, and sign language are weaved together by Genoël von Lilienstern and La Cage to shape a multi-layered composition.

@alienordauchez, @bastian.zimmermann and @kuba_krzewinski invite the audience for an immersive sound and touch treatment in a group of around 80 people at a time. “Salon of Touch” is a collective experience between performers and the audience with musical works that move along the threshold of touch and sound.
Aliénor Dauchez and Kuba Krzewińsk describe the concept of the immersive concert in the interview.

A fingertip glides slowly over the notches of the almost smooth programme sheet. A drop of sweat runs hastily down from the over-ear and moistens the neck. A final accelerando and rallentando of a fingernail on the scalp causes a vibration of a few hertz. The vibration sets the intention in motion. Everything is ready. Let’s get started.
