Weathered hands, shared smoke, and the currency of a life well-lived.

These images capture the daily life and cultural essence of Kashmir’s Dal Lake, showcasing a blend of commerce, tradition, and quiet contemplation. The air is thick with the scent of fresh Girda bread, piled high in woven baskets and passed from boat to boat. It’s a place where the daily harvest isn't found in an aisle, but weighed on handheld scales by men in traditional Pherans, their smiles as warm as the morning sun breaking through the mist.
Between the bustle of the vegetable trade and the rhythmic splash of the oars, there are moments of profound, golden silence. You see it in the man sitting at the edge of his boat, lost in thought as his reflection dances in the still, sepia-toned water. It is a reminder that even in the middle of our daily labors, there is always room for a moment of quiet reflection.
Through the lens of the Hasselblad collaboration, every texture—from the knit of a beanie to the ripples in the dark water—is preserved with a timeless, cinematic quality. These aren't just photos; they are a glimpse into a rhythm of life that has remained unchanged for generations.

Where wildflowers bloom softly in the meadows of Gulmarg a quiet river cuts through pine-lined valleys of Pahalgam and snow-capped peaks rise silently under drifting clouds.

India moves gently from colour to calm, from flowing water to towering silence.
