My spiritual journey has never been a straight line.

It began with Orthodox Christianity, then led me into Protestantism. But deep inside, I still had so many questions. One day, I sincerely prayed to Christ, asking Him to show me the truth.

Soon after, my beloved Guru, Paramahamsa Vishwananda @paramahamsa_vishwananda , entered my life. I spent some time following the Vaishnava tradition, and later I was called by my second Guru, Swami Vishnudevananda Giri Maharaj @swami_vishnudevananda_giri_en whose guidance I follow today.

My path has been diverse. I have explored Buddhism, studied different religions, and even embraced Islam during a visit to Dubai as part of my spiritual exploration. I also had the blessing of seeing the Dalai Lama.

Today, I practice in the Advaita Siddha tradition, where I have found answers to the questions that once filled my heart.

Every step of this journey has brought me closer to God. 💙

🇮🇳 Why I Would Love to Live in India ❤️

And there are so many reasons…

☀️ 1. The warmth.
Sunshine, a tropical climate, warm evenings, and the freedom to enjoy life outdoors all year round. I love waking up to sunshine instead of waiting for summer.

🥭 2. Fresh, delicious food.
Mangoes, papayas, coconuts, bananas, fresh vegetables, and fragrant spices. So much grows locally, and the food is full of flavour, colour, and natural goodness.

🐄 3. Animals everywhere.
Cows walking peacefully along the streets, dogs resting in the shade, monkeys climbing trees, and birds singing everywhere. Animals are part of everyday life, and I love this closeness to nature.

❤️ 4. People with open hearts.
Even those with little material wealth can welcome you with a smile, share their food, and offer you what they have. I’ve experienced so much kindness, hospitality, and joy in the simplest things. It reminds me that happiness isn’t measured by how much we own.

🛕 5. Spirituality everywhere.
Temples on almost every corner, morning bells, mantras in the air, colourful festivals, and flowers offered to the Divine. You can find what feels like a million temples in a single city. Spirituality is woven into everyday life.

🌺 6. Life feels like a celebration.
The colourful saris, music, dancing, festivals, flowers, and beautiful chaos of the streets. India has a way of making ordinary moments feel extraordinary.

🕉️ 7. Ancient wisdom.
Sacred rivers, yoga, meditation, mantras, and profound spiritual teachings. India is a place where you can explore the deepest questions about life, God, consciousness, and who you truly are.

✨ 8. A feeling I cannot explain.
Some places are beautiful to visit, while others touch your soul. After spending around five years in India, it has become much more than a destination — it feels like my second home.

India isn’t perfect, just like any other country. But its warmth, spirituality, and vibrant way of life keep calling me back.

WHAT DO I WANT FROM A MAN? 💅

He should:

Pay for EVERYTHING.
Pay for all our dates.
Pay for our trips.
Pay for the house.
Pay for all my wants.
Buy me expensive gifts.
Give me flowers for no reason. 🌸
Donate money to charity.
Support my Guru and Sangha. 🙏
Solve my problems.
Be successful, loyal, romantic and emotionally stable.
Support all my crazy ideas.
And love me exactly the way I am. ❤️

WHAT CAN I GIVE HIM IN RETURN?

Of course, relationships should be equal.

So I can give him:

A bag of trash to take out in the morning.
A bill to pay.
47 Reels a day.
The opportunity to share his food with me after I said, “I’m not hungry.”
300 photos of me to choose from — and I’ll hate all of them.
Another random animal that “really needs a home.” 🐶
Spiritual advice he never asked for.
And occasionally… dinner.

And most importantly…

ME. 🎁

I think he’s getting a pretty good deal. 😂🤝❤️

Where have I been for the past month and a half? 🤍

Sometimes, it’s really hard for me to show up online because of my mental health. I’m learning to give myself the time and space I need.

But I can finally say it: The dog days are over. ✨ by @alina_sofia_maharani
