Before I came to Dubai, I was very close to quitting the Artist life. I was exhausted and safe to say, dead inside. Desperate for some stability and hope, I just wanted to feel the joy, belonging and catharsis that art always provides, again. It had been too long and too dull. I was creatively starved and lost. I was subconsciously begging for life to surprise me again.
This opportunity was that surprise. 'Why? The Musical' has blown my mind away for reasons that I cannot really pen down. Here I was manifesting surprises and the amount of those I received on a daily basis working on this was, if anything, overwhelming, specifically because I wasn't used to feeling this alive and alert all day in years. I mean to think I came here just 3 months ago to work with @nikos_lagousakos and @kritikididimitra as a Dance Captain, my first time being in this position, to doing a performance as the lead of a @shekharkapur and @arrahman musical with no prior acting experience last week! Like Hello?! WHAT?! I am so thrilled and blessed to be here. I can't explain to you in words what surprising yourself does to you. This project has been the most enriching experience of my life for the sole reason that I was surrounded by people who brought me back my hope. They brought me back my belief, my joy and my vulnerability by just loving, supporting and allowing me to be myself. You know they say, never forget your 'Why'. Why you do what you do. That why drives you through life. The most important thing that 'Why? The Musical' has done for me is to remind me of my WHY.

P.S. Why? the Musical is in it's last two weeks of performance before the magic is over(breaks my heart), come rediscover your why through this heartwarming story in a unique venue that @artists_in_motion brought to life at @expo2020dubai

Sharing an interview about my life working as a dancer with @navdharaindia before I started freelancing! Honoured to be one of the pioneer founding members of it.
Come a long way, though miles to go💃🏻

Thankyou @vidula_bhave for this 💜
