Somewhere between a 70s house party and a rather serious cocktail bar, you’ll find Nancy’s. 🍸

Tucked away near Borough Market, this place has gone all out with the retro interiors, and the cocktail menu is just as interesting. They’ve got a whole ‘market-to-glass’ concept, using ingredients sourced from local Borough Market traders, which I thought was a pretty great idea!

We worked our way through quite a few cocktails and there were some really interesting combinations! My favourites were the Vietnamese coffee one and a rum and cucumber concoction whose name has completely escaped me 😭

There’s also a tiger-print pool room where you can play for free, although it was booked out for a private event the night we visited (you can hire it out too!).

🚨Birmingham has a new sushi spot! 🍣

Copenhagen-born Sticks’n’Sushi is making its Birmingham debut on 31st October, bringing its mix of Japanese cuisine and Danish influences to the city!

Think fresh sushi, sashimi, beautifully grilled skewers, sharing platters and cocktails. The restaurant itself is gorgeous too, with a lovely atmosphere, a spacious bar and plenty of room for a long dinner with friends.

📍 Sticks’n’Sushi, Chamberlain Square, Birmingham
🗓️ Officially opening Saturday, 31st October

I’m not usually one for fusion cuisine, but I was quite curious to try the Italian-Japanese food at Osteria Angelina! @angelina.london

We actually had to book almost two months in advance to get a table here! This was a while ago, so I’m not sure if it’s still as tricky to get a reservation.

They’ve got some really interesting dishes on the menu, and they’ve since made it into the @michelinguide 2026 too!

An Indian feast at @itihaasrestaurant!

We were invited down to try their new à la carte menu and had a great evening with lots of good food!

We tried quite a few dishes, but my favourite had to be the Mutton Rogan Josh. The meat was so tender and flavourful and had just the right amount of spice. It paired perfectly with garlic naan.
The Delhi Chicken Tikka (with a dollop of green chutney always!!!) was amazing as a starter.

We also tried the Madras Chicken Curry and the dum biryani, which was cooked really well. If you’ve never had dum biryani before, it comes sealed with dough to trap all the steam and aromas while it cooks, keeping the rice fragrant.

And of course, I had to order their dal! It’s something I’ve loved at Itihaas for a while now and keep going back for. It’s buttery and so comforting, especially on a chilly evening.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re craving some good Indian food! 🥰
