“Small moments often create amazing change in your life.” 👏 💯 YES. Alison Canavan shares her story of transformation this week on the show, recorded the day after her 45th bday and the anniversary of 8 years sober for her. She talks all that and gives great concrete tips like this one for transforming our lives on a daily basis. (Of course I loved that!) up now, thank you @alisoncanavanwellness 🙌 by @alisoncanavanwellness

Day 3 of ‘NO’vember 💗

Say NO to reaching for your phone before connecting with yourself.

How you start your morning matters. When you reach for your phone first thing, you’re allowing the outside world to influence your energy before you’ve even checked in with yourself.

Today’s challenge: Before you touch your phone, take 5 minutes just for you. Place one hand on your heart, one on your belly, take a few slow breaths and ask yourself, “How am I feeling today, and what do I need?”

Give yourself your attention before you give it to the world.

Small changes create big shifts. 💗 by @alisoncanavanwellness

Day 2 of ‘NO’vember 💗

Say NO to believing rest is something you have to earn.

Rest isn’t a reward for getting everything done. It’s something your body and mind need.

Today’s challenge: Take 20 minutes to do absolutely nothing productive. No phone, no emails, no to-do list.

Enjoy a cuppa, sit outside or simply be still.

And most importantly, enjoy it without guilt.

You don’t have to earn your rest. 💗 by @alisoncanavanwellness

Welcome to NO’vember!

30 days of saying NO so you can start saying YES to a life you love living.

We’ve become so good at saying yes to everyone and everything that somewhere along the way, we started saying no to ourselves.

So here’s the challenge.

For the next 30 days, I’ll share one thing we can say NO to each day, why it matters for our energy and one small action you can try that day.

From people-pleasing and overworking to skipping rest, ignoring our needs and constantly putting ourselves last.

No guilt. No perfection. Just 30 days of making more intentional choices.

Today’s challenge: Before agreeing to anything, pause and ask yourself, “Do I actually want to do this, or am I just afraid to say no?”

You don’t have to respond immediately. “Let me get back to you” is a perfectly good answer.

Every NO creates space for a more meaningful YES.

Your energy is your currency. Spend it wisely.

Who’s joining me for 30 days of NO’vember? 🙋‍♀️

How much of your precious energy are you spending trying to control things that are completely outside of your control?

Other people’s opinions of you, how someone responds to you, the choices other people make, things that happened in the past or outcomes that haven’t even happened yet.

We spend so much of our lives trying to control the uncontrollable, often without realizing the enormous amount of energy it’s costing us. We replay conversations, imagine scenarios, worry about what might happen and exhaust ourselves trying to change things that were never ours to control in the first place.

And here’s something I often ask people to reflect on. What would happen if you took all of that energy and redirected it towards something you actually have influence over?

Your thoughts, your choices, your actions, your attitude and how you show up in the world each day.

This is why energy awareness is so important. When we become aware of where our energy is going, we begin to understand just how much of it we are giving away unconsciously.

We cannot control everything that happens around us, but we can become more intentional about how we respond to it.

And sometimes the greatest shift we can make isn’t about doing more, fixing more or trying harder. It’s about learning where to stop spending our energy.

So here’s my question for you today. Are you spending your energy trying to control what you can’t, or investing it in what you can?

A POEM :
A day in silence
Time to think
Love poured into me
No guilt allowed in
Just beautiful conversations
Prayers for my heart
Ears that listened
So I could hear and take part

No ‘you should’
No ‘you’re crazy’
Just a human who sees
And some space for
‘Yes’ and ‘maybe’
There’s Deep pain
there forever
Etched into my bones
From history
We remember the words
That made themselves a home

We remember the feeling
We remember the tone
And then all of a sudden
Feel very alone
And instead of connection
Which creates healing
You see
Because of our memories
We retreat into safety
………..
Overwhelmed and anxious
Afraid and unseen
We feel Invisible and trapped
And hear ourself
Scream
Please help me God
Show me what to do

“Reach out to my people
They will carry you home
My child I never said
You were to do this alone”

So thank you for listening
For praying over me
Never underestimate
Your power in
Someone else’s journey

Open the door for others.

One of the greatest things we can do in this lifetime is create opportunities for other people.

Make the introduction. Share the knowledge. Celebrate someone’s success. Speak someone’s name in a room full of opportunities.

Not because you have to, but because you can.

I’ve never believed that someone else’s success takes away from our own.

Quite the opposite.

When we move through life with an abundance mindset, we stop seeing people as competition and start seeing possibilities for connection, collaboration, and growth.

True leadership isn’t just about the doors we walk through. It’s about the doors we open for others.

And sometimes the smallest gesture can create the biggest ripple.

We have so much more power to positively influence the world around us than we realise.

So be generous with your energy.

Lift people up. Create opportunities. Celebrate others loudly.

Because the more we choose to open doors, the more we create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

That’s energy being moved. ❤️ EBM
