get to know us!
we are two girls from northeastern illinois working on our family farm. we are both super passionate about ag and are trying to be ag-vocates!!

allaina- hey guys! i am 18 years old and headed to college to study agronomy and precision ag this fall! my favorite job on the farm is driving the combine during harvest. i hope to encourage other farmers to practice more environmentally friendly practices, and show people who don’t live on a farm what it’s like!

gianna- hey! i am 16 years old! my favorite job on the farm is driving the auger cart during harvest. i love learning about farming from my dad and seeing how our family has farmed throughout the years.
follow along to see our journey! happy farming!🚜

fun fact- everyone, including us, who works on our farm is also a firefighter!!

(btw we are a red family😁)

Throwback Thursday!!

Pictured is our Gramps’ 1989 Case IH 1660 combine and 1973 Ford grain truck. It’s amazing to see the machinery we used back in the day! And the red looked just as good back then as it does now😎

More content coming soon!

Gettin ‘er done.

It’s that time again!!!🤩🤩

We’re a little late to update everyone, but we’ve started harvest ‘25! As of yesterday, we have about 400 acres of beans done and Dad is pretty happy with the yields this far.😁 As far as corn goes, some of ours tested at 21% moisture last week, so that’ll be ready once we’re done with beans. Wheat is planned to get in the ground on Monday and we’ll get started seeding cover crops (hopefully🙏🏻) !! While me and Allaina wish we could be there to help, the crew is getting ‘er done!!🙌🏻

Praying for everyone’s safety in the fields right now. Hope your harvest is going well!!

Pre-harvest update:

While me and Allaina have been away at school, the crew is getting things ready to go!! Recently, they’ve waxed, polished, and painted under the hopper bottom. They’ve also gone over the tillage tool.

The crops are all starting to turn, meaning we’re not too far away from making the first cut😁. We will update y’all when we get there!!

Wheat harvest ‘25 is complete!!

We borrowed our friends’ Gleaner 1966 model C2 to cut some wheat just like back in the day. In a way, we put on our own Half Century of Progress farm show haha! @halfcenturyprogressshow Had some fun in the sun as it was a heat index of about 105 degrees! Hope everyone’s having a good summer!

happy planting season! 🌱

we’ve been very busy trying to get all the seed in the ground along with spraying. we are almost done planting, thank God! and yes we know it’s pretty late!

now that planting is almost finished here are some reminders:

- be on the lookout for slow moving farm vehicles and equipment! many accidents happen each year involving farm vehicles. so let’s stay safe and look out for eachother!

- pray for the farmers!! we can all use a quick little prayer for our safety (and sanity lol) as our crops begin to come out of the ground!

we appreciate you and hope everyone has had a safe planting season!

Finally finished planting last Friday🙏🏻 Tag teamed our last field so we could knock it out quick, shout out to John Harpster for letting us use his planter! Took the drone out for the first time to get some shots! #drone #agriculture #caseih #planting #flyoverstates #corn by @allain_acres
