So proud to say we raised OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS for @ulanewhavenct.

I am grateful beyond words. A million thank you’s to our brilliant filmmakers, dedicated volunteers, amazing venue @lottastudio and of course, our incredible audience.

ULA does incredibly important work supporting our immigrant communities. We’re proud to be supporting them. This is your reminder to help out wherever you can, however you can. Even if it may seem unconventional! Thank you all for making our debut event such a wild success. We’ll see you at AGIFF2! Thank you!!!🫶🏻🖤🎬 by @allgoodindie

See you tonight, New Haven! by @allgoodindie

When emails need writing, posters need copy, and socials need captioning, we are lucky to be able to turn to the ever iconic Mia Madonna.

Mia is based in New York City and will graduate next month from NYU with a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Public Policy, where she fell in love with material culture and public history. This fall, she will continue her studies at the Bard Graduate Center.

She has previously worked in both the museum world and public relations, and she runs a Substack where she explores art and music history.

She is thrilled to be helping out with ALL GOOD INDIE!, pitching in wherever she can and hopping on the train to New Haven whenever possible to enjoy all that the tri-state arts scene has to offer. If you’ve visited the website or submitted to this year’s debut festival, you can find traces of her in the vibrant verbiage. by @allgoodindie

Venue Sneak Peek!! If watching indie films surrounded by art, plants, and antique furniture sounds like your thing, then you’re in the right place. 🪴🎨🪑

Paola Michaela (@paola_filming) is a filmmaker and film enthusiast from New Haven. She’s incredibly passionate about the local indie film scene in CT, volunteering for Out Film CT, the Bridgeport Film Festival, and now ALL GOOD INDIE! Aside from volunteering, Paola also loves working on-set for independent short films. Paola’s got three shorts to their name— The Winged Detectives, hands, and A Plate for Two (which is screening Saturday). They’re currently working on a queer, coming-of-age, hockey feature script, which Paola just hosted a live reading for through the Bridgeport Film Festival in March.

If you really wanna get to know Paola, ask about her favorite movie snacks, her extensive opinions on the cinematic relevance of Disney Channel Original Movies, or about their growing DVD collection.

Meet the team behind ALL GOOD INDIE! First up is our founder & director, Frankie Brescia.

If you asked Frankie to pick two defining qualities about herself, she would say “New Jersey Italian” and “AMC A-Lister.”

After graduating from Pratt Institute with a degree in 2D Animation, Frankie did the whole film festival thing for a couple years with her thesis film, Lovie Dovie. She worked for a bit and saved some money until her career led her to Connecticut, where she fell in love with the New Haven art scene.

She founded ALL GOOD INDIE! with the hopes of creating a space where indie filmmakers can gather, while raising money for causes she cares about. And she is amazing at writing Instagram captions in the third person. by @allgoodindie

Have you seen us around? If you hang around @lottastudio @sprucecoffeenhv or @never.ending.books then you probably have!

🎬 For all the filmmakers, artists, and people wanting to do good in this world: I would like to introduce ALL GOOD INDIE! Film Festival. 💙🎟️✨

We are an independent, New Haven based film festival focused on fostering community and promoting social solidarity. It’s really easy to feel alone and powerless. The goal is to create a space where we’re reminded that’s not true.

Our first festival is April 18th 2026 at Lotta Studio @lottastudio with proceeds going towards Unidad Latina en Acción, @ulanewhavenct a New Haven grassroots organization dedicated to defending the rights of immigrants through direct action, community organizing, and legal advocacy.

If you’re interested in submitting, you still have time! Submissions are open until April 1st (no joke). We’re looking for it ALL! Live action, animation, narrative, abstract, music videos, student films, even recorded stage productions, etc...

To submit your film or learn more about us, check out our website. Link in our bio! #indiefilm #filmfestival #allgoodindie by @allgoodindie
