My very small still Mammillaria perez-delarosae subsp. andersoniana. Mammillaria perezdelarosae subsp. andersoniana is a rare, miniature, slow-growing cactus native to volcanic rock habitats in Villa García, Zacatecas and Aguascalientes, Mexico.

Key Characteristics

• Size: Tiny and solitary, reaching about 2–5 cm tall and 2.5 cm in diameter.
• Spines: Features straight (not hooked) dark brown or black central spines surrounded by 50 to 63 dense, silvery-white or hyaline radial spines.
• Flowers: Pale yellowish or white funnelform flowers, sometimes with a faint brownish midstripe.
• Conservation Status: Critically endangered in the wild, with fewer than 1,000 individuals remaining in its restricted habitat.

Care and Cultivation

• Soil: Porous, neutral substrate in shallow, crowded pots.
• Watering: Sensitive to overwatering; keep dry during dormant periods.
• Light: Bright light or morning sun with light afternoon shade.
• Temperature: Frost-hardy down to roughly -5°C (23°F), though it prefers a minimum of around 5°C to 10°C depending on conditions. #mammillariaperezdelarosaeandersoniana #mammillariaperezdelarosae #mammillaria #cacto #cactus by @alltheplantsilove

Stapelia gigantea flowering in the Amsterdam Hortus Botanicus 😍 I must say, I didn’t smell anything. #stapeliagigantea #stapelia #carrionplant #succulent #hortusbotanicusamsterdam by @alltheplantsilove

My “cute” Tephrocactus articulatus papyracanthus. Still standing strong. Eventually some cladodes will fall off i think. #tephrocactusarticulatuspapyracanthus #tephrocactus #cactus #cacto #kaktüs by @alltheplantsilove

My big Echinocactus horizonthalonius. I relocated all my plants to the colder side of the livingroom for them to go in winter rest. This way i can still enjoy them and keep a good eye on them! 💚 #echinocactushorizonthalonius #echinocactus #cactus #cacto #kakteen by @alltheplantsilove

Amazing how little this tiny plant has changed in three years. Pretty much nothing, but beautiful nonetheless! 💚 #titanopsishugoschlechteri #titanopsis #succulents #succulent #beautifulplants by @alltheplantsilove

I have this, Lithops hookeri var. lutea, vermiculate form (C038?), for years now, but it has never flowered. Maybe this year, there is a little fissure, but I doubt it. We will see. #lithopshookerilutea #lithopshookeri #lithops #succulent #succulents by @alltheplantsilove

Three weeks ago i repotted my Sanseveria. It was huge and a lot of older leaves. Now it looks fresh (and more straight up) again. I have this plant for over 50 years and once every few years needs a cut back. I aim to cut away only the older leaves. After cutting the roots i leave it on the floor for about a week before i pot it up again, so it doesn’t rot! 💚 #sanseveriatrifasciata #sanseveria #sanseverias #succulents #beautifulplants by @alltheplantsilove

Still sunny in the Netherlands. My plants seem to enjoy the October sun. Should I water my plants one more time? 💚🤩 #copiapoadealbata #copiapoamalletiana #copiapoacinereadealbata #copiapoas #cactus by @alltheplantsilove

My new big Copiapoa haseltoniana arrived yesterday. Origin and Habitat: Endemic to the Atacama desert (Chile, Antofagasta) on a few hundred metres wide coastal plain at 15 km NE, inlands above Paposo (from Taltal to Caleta Colorado), which lies between the sea and the steeply rising coastal mountain. (Llifle) Very happy with this plant. 💚By the way, i think i am addicted to buying new plants. 😬 This has to stop! 🥳 #copiapoahaseltoniana #copiapoa #copiapoas #cactus #cactos by @alltheplantsilove
