I didn’t stop the wedding. 💍

And if I’m being truthful, there were moments when I knew deep down that the life I was choosing wasn’t the life I deserved.

But I was young. I was “in love”. I had hope. I believed in the promises, in the potential, and in the family I wanted so badly to keep together.

For a long time, I held on. Not because I didn’t know my worth, but because walking away from the life you pictured for yourself is a different kind of heartbreak. Especially when there are children involved.

I spent so much time trying to make things work that somewhere along the way, I forgot about the girl I was before I became a wife and a mother.

And now, at 27, with two beautiful children, I’m learning that I can love my children with everything in me while also choosing a life where I am loved, respected, and at peace.

There are days I wish I had made different decisions. Days I wonder how different life could have been. But I refuse to spend the rest of my life punishing a younger version of myself who was simply trying to love and be loved.

Because that same girl grew into a woman who continued showing up, even when life looked nothing like she imagined.

I’m still figuring things out. Still healing. Still rebuilding pieces of myself that I didn’t even realize I had lost.

But I’m proud of the woman I’m becoming.

And more than anything, I hope my children grow up knowing that love should never require you to lose yourself to keep it.

I can’t rewrite the beginning of my story, but I still have the power to change how the rest of it unfolds.

And maybe that’s what starting over really means. 🤍

I stopped asking why you did it to me. I still ask how you could do it to them.

—I can forgive what was done to me. I can make peace with the ways you hurt me. But watching your choices affect the little hearts that call you Dad? I’ll never understand how you could do them knowing your children would feel the consequences too. That’s something I carry differently. Something I don’t think I’ll ever understand.

It may be October, but I’m still processing the fact that my September baby is 10 now.🤍
—10 years of loving you, watching you grow, and wondering how time could possibly move this fast.
Happy 10th birthday to my beautiful girl. 🤍 No matter how big you get, you’ll always be my baby. 🎂

Why I’ve been a little quiet on here lately... 🤍
This was not the vlog I had in mind: The day I took my last certification exam..

—This wasn’t just a broken vehicle…
It was months of sacrifice, plans changing overnight, and another reminder that sometimes faith means moving forward before you know how everything is going to work out.
As a single mom and a first-year teacher, this season was already going to stretch me. Every dollar I had saved was meant for back-to-school.
Instead, it all went toward fixing my car.
—I’m not sharing this for sympathy. I’m sharing it because life can change in an instant, and I know I’m not the only one who’s had to start over when they least expected it.
Right now, I’m working with what I’ve got. I’m trusting God one step at a time and believing He’ll provide, just like He always has.
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: setbacks don’t cancel God’s plan. They just remind us how much we need Him.
Here’s to trusting God with the parts of the story we can’t control. 🤍

I’m not raising “fatherless” children.
—I’m raising kind, resilient, and compassionate humans who are deeply loved every single day.
—The absence wasn’t our identity.
Love became our language. Healing became our home.
