reminiscing 2026 Samba Encontro here in Melbourne with my Bloco fam ❤️🤍 I really struggled with my identity after having a baby. I let go of trying to control the version of myself I was trying to become, as motherhood unravelled me and revealed to me what was needed in this season of my life.

I struggled to get back into consistent exercise.
I struggled with what I was going to do next with business.

But my one constant outside of family life was samba.
Throughout the roller coaster of the joys and the tougher times this new chapter of my life has brought me, samba continued to bring me more joy and the opportunity to express myself through dance.

There really is something beautiful about Brazilian culture and the art of samba.

I’m eternally grateful to my @bloco3k family for being this beautiful space to dance samba every week.

And for Luke and his family who take care of baby girl so I can go dance and perform.

This week, I’m sitting in bated breath and excitement for the next week ahead, where I’ll be travelling to Adelaide for the @australian_samba_retreat and go immerse myself in this culture and art form.

I spent more than a decade of my life in the fitness industry: body building, becoming a personal trainer, coaching women online around the world. And pushing myself physically: competing in dance comps, running for more than 250+ days and doing a half marathon…

…everything changed when I had my baby. The desire to train the way I used to just wasn’t there. I dabbled training solo at the gym again. Tried reformer Pilates. Tried a group strength gym. But none of it really stuck with me.

I knew deep down, I was craving a philosophy that helped me reshape my body, not in a fat loss way or purely building muscle way, but in a way that allowed me to be truly more functional. In a way that allows me to hold my frame as a mother.

I’m so grateful to have come across @korimeloy’s work: building strength, holding posture differently (in an expansive way), and spending more time outdoors instead of indoors under fluorescent light. It’s changed how my daughter breathes, moves, and behaves too.

So im back babyyyyy! And building a body that can hold more (physically and energetically).

In this season of my life, this way of working out is so beautiful and perfect for me and my daughter.

If you’re a mum who’s been struggling to find movement that sits well in this new season of life, get moving outside. It’s such good medicine. And get onto @korimeloy’s work 🙏🏽

They say the body stretches
but what they don’t say
is how it stretches the soul too.

Wider than it’s ever dared.
Softer than it’s ever known.

To grow a child is to grow a whole universe within you,
cell by cell,
heartbeat by heartbeat.

It is to surrender your body to something unseen
and trust
that love is enough.

And somehow,
that love becomes limbs.
That love becomes life.

And in the quiet unfolding,
a woman becomes
not just a mother,
but the vessel of everything holy.

This is the act of creation.
This is becoming.

It was such an honour to be your muse. I’m so grateful for these moments that capture this special chapter of my life.

This shoot felt like everything my soul needed:
nature, the ocean, surrender, connection. Just women coming together, creating something magic.

softening 🌸

this new year feels very different.

usually I am ON it with the next big goal I want to achieve, always striving for the next thing, for more.

the personal and health battles I faced last year taught me to pause and to reconnect with myself and my faith.

once I got better and had my vitality and energy back, the urge to GO GO GO started surfacing again.

and then, this little one popped into my world.

this bub has taught me so much already, especially to slow down, soften and savour the journey.

naturally, I had big plans with the dawn of a new business I’ve been working on.

August last year was when I had the ready set GO date for myself.

Then early September came and this miracle came into my life.

and now, I am learning more and more to soften into this new chapter, this journey from maiden to mother.

Instead of GO GO GO, or NEXT NEXT NEXT, this baby reminds me daily to BE HERE NOW.

I’m reminded to go at my own pace and to work towards my own version of success and happiness.

building, growing, in my own time and God’s time.

rooted in faith and in my values.

And I’m reminded to savour every moment of the journey.

Here’s to a new era.

Everything’s coming up Millhouse. 💫

After a season of deep reflection and growth, I’m stepping back into the light—stronger, more grounded, and with a renewed sense of purpose.

Sometimes, you have to go through the darkness to find the clarity you need to rise again.

Grateful to @chillpreneurcreativestudio for capturing this moment of transformation.

There’s so much more to come—thank you to the soul reading this for staying on this journey with me.

As my grandma says to me: “The best is yet to come.”
