This never get old.

Witnessing my students gain confidence in their actions fills my cup with joy.
The repetitive movements demonstrated here during our Alphabetex session shows their growth in yoga, painting and martial arts.

New mat who dis!

I started my yoga journey over a decade ago with the intention to learn how to practice better personally and have been blessed by the support of this dear community.
I got my 200hr training at Yoga Shala in midtown with Tyler Langdale.
My friends at the time got me a Manduka mat as a Christmas gift to support my adventures.
That was in the fall of 2015.

Since then I have gone on to take many more trainings and lead classes in some of Sacramentos most popular spaces.
I started this journey as a power vinyasa teacher. 🙌🏾 Got certified in trauma informed teaching through Prison Yoga Project and settled into the Folsom State Prison with those skills for the first two years of my instructor career.
The consistency of that weekly practice and connection with men allowed me to receive something I was ready for.
Deep Healing by connecting with men and leading them in focused group activity.
Since then I have rolled out my mat in many different locations. Taught in a few studios, mental health hospital, schools and non profit orgs.
Earlier this year I lost that mat after painting at the UC Davis picnic day. 😞
This fall I’m taking a new training with another stellar teacher from the Shala fam Pattie Meier.
This time I have set the intention to bring my skills and this new training out into public to host and hold spaces for men to slow down, find peace and heal with one another in either of Alphabetex or Yin based restorative yoga classes.

My ask is that you join me in encouraging the men In Your life to show up for themselves by joining me for these sessions.
In turn that will hold me accountable for showing up for them bringing us all into a win win situation.

BUILDING A HOME.

For the past several months, I’ve been pretty quiet.

Not because I haven’t been creating…

But because I’ve been building.

Building curriculum.
Building partnerships.
Building a sustainable future for SledgeHammer Graffix.

As the Creative Growth Fellowship comes to a close and I complete the @cltre_sacramento Accelerated Entrepreneurship Cohort, I’ve been reflecting on how much this journey has changed me.

Many of you know SledgeHammer Graffix from our studio in (DPH) District 2, where we weathered the pandemic, rebuilt our community, and continued creating together. I’ll always be grateful for that chapter.

Now, life has brought us full circle.

SledgeHammer Graffix is returning to Downtown Sacramento (District 4)—not to start over, but to grow.

This new space places us in a vibrant community of artists and makers and will become the home of future classes, collaborations, and creativity.

I’m grateful to share that a CCCA grant will bring students into this space beginning in September, and the CLTRE award will help secure our first six months of rent, giving this next chapter a strong foundation.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing the process of turning this empty space into a home.

I hope you’ll follow along and join us for our Grand Reopening on Second Saturday,
August 8—Hip Hop’s Birthday.

This isn’t just a new studio.

It’s the next chapter of SledgeHammer Graffix.

Not to glamorize washing my ass but if you ever wonder why the royal p3nis looks so clean, that’s because it is!

Seriously tho…. The older I get the more I am thankful for creating and maintaining my soaking practice.
During pandemic I created this outdoor bath and deck to be in compliance with the new massage regulations.
The best part about it is being able to use it myself!!!

If you would like an outdoor hot soak and massage DM me.
