A little bit about the person behind the piano! Did any of these tidbits surprise you?

As always, thank you for listening, saving, sharing and adding it to any of your playlists! by @alstadmusic

“Eventide” is out today on @spotify @applemusic @amazonmusic @amp_pandora and anywhere you listen to music!

I’ve always loved Mozart’s ‘Laudate Dominum’; my wife @sheri75 walked down the aisle to it, played by a string quartet and sung by a friend, so it’s always carried something sacred for me.

This is a bit of a reimagined version where I tried to keep the beauty of the original but also weaved in some of my own writing, with a darker/haunting thread running underneath.
I’ve always loved that contrast (beauty and darkness), side by side, as it matches our experience in life (at least mine!)

I hope you enjoy the piece! As always, any support is so appreciated! Liking, adding to your playlists, saving it, sharing it - it all helps!

One of my lesser known monikers is Echomare, and I have a new release out this weekend, which I am excited to share with you!
I’ve always loved darker, brooding music, and this is a moniker that explores that kind of vibe.

As always, any support is appreciated – you can add it to your playlists, share it with friends, save it, etc. – every little bit is super helpful!

“Blind Justitia” by Bardic Fae is out today. 🎧

I’ve always loved the image of Lady Justice wearing a blindfold. The idea that judgment should be neutral and objective, swayed by nothing but the truth. Over the last few years, it’s felt as though we’ve lost some of that, and there are moments when it can feel quite hopeless. But of course, there is always hope. As the old Christmas hymn puts it, “…the wrong shall fail, the right prevail, with peace on earth…”

This piece is a reflection on that idea, and I’m so grateful to have made it with my friend @ben.goheen on cello. We recorded it with the wonderful @roysalmondmusic

We really hope you enjoy it. Add it to your playlists, share it, save it. As always, your support means a lot. 🙏 by @alstadmusic

New music out today. 🎶

“Vespers” is up now on @spotify and all other streaming platforms. It’s a piece I’ve been sitting on for a while, and features the wonderful Lydia Munchinsky on cello.

It’s the first release of an EP I’ll be releasing over the next few weeks.

If it resonates with you, I’d love for you to give it a save, share it with a friend, or add it to a playlist.

Thanks for listening! 🎧❤️

Echomare is a little ambient project that I have been enjoying working on, with my friend @geoffreycedar

“Crossing A River” is now live on @spotify @applemusic and anywhere you listen to music.

It’s the last track on our EP as Hegira and we’re really proud of how it turned out. @jordanklassen and I had a lot of fun making this project and this piece feels like a fitting end to it.

Give it a listen, and if you enjoy it, please consider sharing, saving, or adding it to a playlist. It goes a long way and we truly appreciate the support 🤍 by @alstadmusic
