Thank you, basketball, for giving me the best four years of my life. When I first stepped onto the court as a freshman, I had no idea how much you would shape me — not just as an athlete, but as an athlete, but as a person. But more than anything, you gave me people. Teammates who became family. Coaches who believed in me, even when I doubted myself. The bus rides, the locker room talks, the pre-game nerves, the celebrations after big wins — those moments are memories I will carry forever. Through every victory and every tough loss, we stood together. We learned how to support one another, how to communicate, and how to grow as a team. As this chapter closes, it’s hard to imagine my days without practices and games. But even though my high school career is ending, the lessons you taught me will stay with me forever. The discipline, leadership, strength, and friendships. Thank you for the challenges that helped me grow and the memories that will always make me smile. Thank you Coach Bennett, Coach Spoon, Coach Dennis, Coach Wes, Williams, Megan, Coach Reggie, and Coach Lockard. Thank you for the lessons that went beyond basketball. You taught me that mistakes are opportunities to grow, that setbacks are temporary, and that teamwork is about trust and sacrifice. To my teammates, Thank you for making basketball more than just a game. Thank you for making these past four years some of the best memories of my life. When I think about our time together, I don’t just think about the wins or the scoreboard. I think about the practices where we pushed each other to get better. I think about the inside jokes, the bus rides, the music in the locker room, and the way we always found a way to laugh — even after tough losses. You all turned long practices and hard conditioning into moments I’ll actually miss. To my dad, thank you for everything you have done for me. Thank you for putting the ball in my hands with I was younger to have love for the games with countless tears, and talks after the game I’ll always thank you for being by my side through it all. I appreciate everything you have done to make everything better. #21&12 signing out 💚🖤 by @alyssa.leonard0905
