Being a makeup artist for 10yrs, I’ve done more faces than I can count. Each one so special to me, but nothing compares to doing my sisters makeup for her big day. She was truly the most beautiful bride I’ve ever seen!

I will cherish this moment for the rest of my life 🥰 I love you sissycakes ♥️

A Haunting 🤍👻

Who doesn’t love a haunted house & a good ghost story during spooky season? 👻 Added some UV-activated paint to our costumes for a little extra trick this year!

Our entryway glowed under black light (pics don’t even do it justice) & the kids and parents loved it once again 🥲

Happy October 1st! Best time of the year 🖤🎃

Many years ago Jake asked me, “If you could live anywhere, where would it be?” And I legit responded with, “Is Halloweentown an option?” 😂

It was the epitome of my childhood. Everything magical, whimsical, mysterious & enchanting. I always longed for a world like that. Then I grew up and realized WE make the magic. And ever since, it’s been my mission to keep that magic alive wherever I am.

When I found out St. Helens wasn’t far from our Portland trip, I knew I had to finally see it for myself. The real-life Halloweentown. The place my little self dreamed of living in.

Of course it’s just like any little small town, which only made me realize even more that we really do create the magic ourselves. Loved this little adventure & finally getting to visit the place that made my childhood imagination run wild. Where it all started. 🎃🌙✨

Happy spooky season! 🥹🫶🏻 by @amandadevon

I cannot stress enough how magical & enchanting the Oregon coast is. We were lucky enough to go back to Cannon Beach and have the most relaxing, explorative stay once again. There’s so much to see & do, and hiking through the forests onto the beaches feels completely otherworldly.

If you love nature in its entirety, you would absolutely just melt here🌲🌙🌊🐾🌌

A summer well spent 🥰 by @amandadevon

What is Melasma?

Melasma is a common skin condition that causes brown or grayish patches, usually on the face. It can be triggered by hormonal changes, sun exposure, heat, genetics, & even certain medications.

I knew mine was heavily hormone-related because of when it started and the changes I was experiencing at the time. I wasn’t on birth control yet, and I wasn’t, and currently am not, pregnant. The reason I bring up pregnancy is because melasma is very common during pregnancy, which is why you may have heard it referred to as the “pregnancy mask.”

After talking with my dermatologist, I was prescribed Tretinoin .025%, which I use every other day, along with 7% Hydroquinone twice a week to help fade the pigmentation.

As a licensed esthetician, my dermatologist felt comfortable prescribing me the higher-strength hydroquinone knowing that I understood how to use it carefully & responsibly.

These photos are only 4 weeks apart so I’m excited to see how much more improvement I can get over the next 4 weeks!

Being a makeup artist & licensed esthetician, I see melasma a lot and just wanted to share that it happens, it’s more common than you may think, and there are ways to help manage and improve it 🫶🏻

Also, I looooove using the tret. My skin is just overall clearer, brighter & more plump! Highly recommend.
