Reposted @fboy Dolly Parton's catalogue is packed with songs
that became bigger than country music itself. Her
nost famous include "Jolene,'' "9 to 5," "I Will Always
Love You," "Coat of Many Colors," Here You Come
Again,"'"Two Doors Down," "Why'd You Come in Here
Lookin' Like That" and "Islands in the Stream" with
Kenny Rogers. "9 to 5" became a No. 1 pop hit, while
"Jolene" grew into one of the most covered country
songs ever.

And "I Will Always Love You" has one of the craziest
legacies of all - Dolly wrote and recorded it years
pefore Whitney Houston turned it into a global
phenomenon for The Bodyguard. Dolly didn't just have
hit songs; she wrote songs that kept becoming hits for
other generations too 🥹🎶

Another icon taken from us. Tim Curry, known for Frank-N-Furter in the Rocky horror picture show, and Pennywise in IT.
