POSTS STORIES REELS
October 31🦪💜 Me and my king, Mr. Mike had the honor of riding in the Ponchatoula Veterans Day parade in Ponchatoula. This past Saturday, It was so meaningful to see so many people come out to show their support and gratitude. Moments like this remind me how important it is to pause, reflect, and recognize the courage and sacrifices made by the men and women who have served our country. I love how we can come together to honor and respect those who have served and fought for our freedom. I’m incredibly grateful to every veteran and their family for all they have given. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your dedication to our country! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 25🦪💜 After The French Food Festival, I traveled over to Houma for the Rougarou Festival. This is my first time ever attending, and it truly was an experience. I thoroughly loved seeing everyone dressed up in their Halloween costumes and even getting to meet the witches court and the queen. This was definitely an experience that highlights the all traditions that lie within Louisiana. I had so much fun and definitely will be coming back next year! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 25🦪💜 I attended the French Food Festival down in Larose, Louisiana. This festival truly had such a homie feeling to it. Everyone was so welcoming to us all. We started the morning with a toast and even started a second line. We then went inside to do a craft and start the scavenger hunt. Lastly, we did a crawfish alfredo eating contest and of course my Sicilian roots came out and I took home the win for finishing first!! This day was so much fun and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my sweet Aliza. Thank you for having me and I love you dearly!!! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 24🦪💜 The Washington Parish Fair did not disappoint!! Such a fun filled day walking around and seeing everything that the fair has to offer. From cotton candy, to watching how pork skins and popcorn are made, to livestock, Mile Branch, and line dancing on stage, I could have not asked for a better day. I even got third in the basket decorating contest, (thanks Britt)!! I had so much fun celebrating one of my best friends, Maddie and her throughout the year. Thank you, Maddie for showing me what your hometown fair has to offer. I truly had the best day! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 21🦪💜 It was a beautiful and wonderful day spent at the Washington Parish fair. We started the morning riding in the parade, all throughout town. And had the chance to walk around a little bit and even get some delicious cotton candy. The second half of the day, Izzy and I came back for the pageant to watch the crowning of the new teen and Miss Queen. Though it was so exciting watching the pageant I unfortunately had to say a hard goodbye to one of my best friends, Maddie. Maddie, there is so much that I can say to you but this post would be way too long. I’m so extremely proud of you and the person that you have become this past year. I’m so proud of the way that you have represented the fair and your hometown. I’m forever grateful for us meeting and instantly becoming best friends. I love you so much. A huge congratulations to the new Miss Washington Parish, Fair queen, Presley. I know you will hold this title with so much grace and pride for your fair and I cannot wait to experience this with you!! by @amiteoysterqueen
Six months ago, I stepped into a title I never imagined I would have the honor of holding. What began as an unexpected moment has become one of the most meaningful parts of my life. This crown represents so much more than a title. It means carrying the heart of Amite with me, celebrating the people and traditions that make our community and the oyster industry so special, and making memories I’ll treasure forever. Every appearance, new friendship, and experience along the way has reminded me how lucky I am to serve as your queen. I’m endlessly grateful for this opportunity and for everyone who has made these past six months so special. I never expected this title to mean so much to me, but it has truly found a permanent place in my heart. I’m so sad that my year is already halfway over, but I can’t wait to make the most of every moment still to come💜 - - thank you so much @southerncharm.media for the most beautiful photos! Love you Ray!!🤍 & @the_whit_effect for the amazing hair and makeup. you do it best!!! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 18🦪💜 The Boucherie Balloon Festival was such a fun-filled day from start to finish! We kicked things off by seeing the alligators and exploring Cajun Village, where we got to walk around and check out all the different shops in one place. It was such a neat spot to visit! Afterward, we headed back to enjoy lunch and spend some time making crafts and playing games. Then it was off to the festival, where we got to try some delicious cracklin’ and find out who took home the weekend’s contest awards. I had the best time enjoying everything the day had to offer and making such sweet memories. by @amiteoysterqueen
October 17🦪💜 I had the best time at the International Rice Festival in Crowley! We started the day at the pageant, where we said goodbye to Ainsley. She did a wonderful job, and I’m so grateful I had the chance to get to know her and travel with her throughout the year. We also welcomed the 89th International Rice Festival Queen, Molly, and I’m so excited to travel with her this year! After the pageant, we watched a rice-threshing demonstration before heading to the Mayor’s Luncheon, which was filled with so many delicious foods. Then we rode in the parade through town and the festival. This is truly one of my favorite festivals I’ve attended, and the hospitality has definitely gone unmatched!! I can’t wait to come back next year! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 11🦪💜 A day I truly wasn’t looking forward to. I attended the Tangipahoa Parish Fair to welcome in a new set of royalty while saying goodbye to the past royalty. For those who don’t know, Kynzie is my cousin. This past year of reigning together was something we had both looked forward to our whole lives. I never imagined I’d get to be a “big queen” right alongside you. It was truly a dream come true, and I’ll never take our year together for granted. I’ve always looked up to you in the queen world. You are one of the greatest role models in my life, and I’m so grateful others got to see that this year, too. I’ll miss being by your side every weekend, but the memories we made will always hold a special place in my heart. I love you so much. I’m also so excited to welcome the new Miss Tangipahoa Parish Fair Queen, Alexis Pitts! This is another full-circle moment, because I’ve known Alexis since she was a little girl, and have watched her compete numerous of times. I can’t wait to watch you step into your first Miss Queen role and represent Tangipahoa Parish with all your heart. I’m so excited to start traveling with you! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 10🦪💜 Last stop of the day was the Cotton Festival in Ville Platte. I got to welcome back to the queen world, the new Cotton Queen Ashley! So excited for you and watching your year unfold. I even got the chance to see my sweet Chloe. You were an amazing Cotton queen and have set such a beautiful example for all of us queens. I’m so proud of you and love you dearly!! After a long, but eventful day, all I can say is how grateful I am. Being able to travel the state every weekend and this weekend to four new places I’ve never been. I just can’t believe I get this incredible opportunity to do this. I’m filled with so much gratitude and I can’t wait to do it all over again next weekend!! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 10🦪💜 Third stop of the day was at the Zwolle Tamale Festival. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and of course the tamales. We listened to the music, danced, and even tried some tamales, Zwolle style! I had such a good time. Off to our fourth and final stop!! by @amiteoysterqueen
October 10🦪💜 Our second stop of the day was to the West Louisiana Forestry Festival in Leesville. We walked around and checked out all that they had to offer. We saw all the vendors, 4-H set ups, the rides, and more livestock. I even got to see my sweet crawfish queen, Karaline who is also on the road this weekend! Two spots down, two too go!! Stay tuned!! by @amiteoysterqueen
