Finally @littleswahilibalozis have launched their second Swahili language book. Odi, Hawa and Taji take us on a journey of learning Swahili alphabet and words begining with these letters from African culture. I was honoured to have illustrated and designed this second book by Linda & Daisy, the two sisters who reside in USA and want to teach their kids and other African kids the Swahili language and culture. This project has given me the chance to experiment a side of illustration I have never thought I would fall in love with. Illustrating kids books, specially learning materials. I hope everyone gets their copy, its fun and exciting books. Visit @littleswahilibalozis and their website for more information. #illustrationkidsbooks #kidsbooks #childrenbook #illustration #swahililanguage by @amnna.illustrations
Palestinian Thobes (cultural dress) is symbol of history, culture and resistance. The beautifuly embriodered dresses shows the history behind each stitch. I love everything behind the Palestinian culture. The Tatreez (arabic for embriodary) is a well reserved craftsmanship over hundreds of years. #palestine #tatreez #palestinianwomen #thobe #hebron #bethlehm #gaza #nablus #jerusalem #culturaldress #illustration #ุชุทุฑูŠุฒ_ูู„ุณุทูŠู†ูŠ #ุซูˆุจ by @amnna.illustrations

One of my favourite fun and colourful kids brand @littleswahilibalozis. I designed and illustrated their brand logo, which represented their Kenyan heritage. Flamingos are one of the popular birds in Kenya and they are the peached colour Flamingos. Since the brand advocates for Swahili language and their products are about teaching Swahili language, their brand logo had to represent their culture and heritage, yet make it fun and colourful. I also designed their website. We had to keep it very minimal and simple and also kidsy and colourful. The colours and inspiration were taken from their logo and first book colour theme. It was really fun working with this project. From illustrating and designing the brand logo, their first number book to their website. Soon they are launching their second book which is in the works. Check out their website and go follow their account. by @amnna.illustrations
Finally its here, for a while I have been working with two amazing sisters from Kenya who became kids books authors @littleswahilibalozis . One of them my good from Linda gave me the opportunity to join in their amazing project. The start of many more learning materials for kids who want to learn Swahili. A language spoken in many African countries, such as Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa and more. Linda and Daisy both from Kenya but residing in the USA wanted the diaspra african kids to preserve their mother tongue. Their first number book is their first product, and many more product will follow. Number book from 1 to 10 in Swahili and has images that represent Kenya. I have designed and Illustrated the book and their brand logo and it has been a fantastic journey and it has been something I want to keep doing. If you didnt know, I used to live in Kenya as a kid and spoje fluent swahili, sadly not anymore, so it was great to remember some of the words. To purchase this book , please head over @littleswahilibalozis to buy and make sure to follow. Also the book also is not only swahili, it can be used as english number book. It has fun illustration and its great way to reconnect to the motherland AFRICAโค by @amnna.illustrations

Lets not forget the national Palestinian hero , the journalist @shireenabuakleh who was targeted and killed in 2022 by Isr@eli army while doing her job. Ms Abu Akleh has been on our screens for decades reporting the situation in Palestine. We grew up watching her everyday on our screens. Shireen Abu Akleh will never be forgotten. by @amnna.illustrations
The honourable hero journalist @wael_eldahdouh who works tiressly to make sure to show the world of the genocide has been one of the icon journalists who I grew up watching on @aljazeera . His family was recently martyred by b*mbs from the Isr@.eli army, however this didnt stop him from doing his job. Without these heroes, the world wouldnt know the atrocieties and genocide Isr@.el is doing. Mr @wael_eldahdouh our deepest condolences and we pray for you and the rest of the Palestinians. We are so ashamed that we are unable to do anything. We only have our prayers. by @amnna.illustrations
While I was visiting Alaqsa mosque and taking images with my canon camera, these 2 boys ran after me and asked me to take the picture and then showed them how it looked. They were very happy and I was happy to take it. I was very overwhelmed that I dont remember their names. I decided to frame their pictures and put it in my house. And I pray they grow up and have a life and future. Because you never know what their future holds. #alquds #palestinianland #palestiniankids #jerusalem #palestiniankidsdeservetolive #occupiedland #westbank #alaqsamosque2023 by @amnna.illustrations
