How do you like to spend your holiday's?

For me, it is completely about relaxing and not thinking about anything and not having anything scheduled. Just going with the flow!

I also love to stay active- go for a run, box, surf, and beach workouts! I could do that for hours especially with a buddy (@alexandra_legault) to make it fun 👊 by @amphysiotherapy

Happy Sunday 🌼 Enjoy the day filling up your cup!

Physiotherapy appointments available starting Monday- contact to book or DM for inquiries!

Injuries suck!! Plain and simple! What do you miss most from your training when you're injured? I miss going 100% at whatever I'm working on that day/week or month.

Come in for an assessment and we will get you back to being active and strong 💪

What do you love working on in training? I like to slow it down sometimes and work on jumping whether that's two legged or single legged. Plus agility work is one of my favorites. Adding in accessory muscle work with your strengthening and conditioning is important 💪 by @amphysiotherapy

A little bit of band work is never a bad idea! Band work can be such an effective way to strengthen and engage your muscles while being easy to pack so you can take it anywhere!! by @amphysiotherapy

It's been awhile! Heading into the fall season, and getting back to our regular schedules after summer holidays I thought I would introduce myself and give you 5 facts about myself ⬇️

1. I graduated with a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2017. I've been working ever since in the field and currently have an office out of @undisputedboxing. I've been there for almost 4 years now 📚

2. I myself am an amateur boxer- I have 11 fights and looking forwards to the new season coming up in September 🥊

3. I'm an avid sports fan and love to play in almost any sport! I grew up playing and still love the game of basketball but I love it all! 🏀

4. I was born in Santiago, Chile and as a child grew up and lived in Asia so the love of traveling the world is in my blood. ✈️

5. I'm a competitor- I won't give up in anything I try!! 💪

What activities do you miss most when you're injured? The goal with physiotherapy is to assess and return to participating in your favorite activities as soon as possible. We can help guide you as we all know how important exercise and movement is physically and mentally!

A progression of exercise working on your foot strength and even more importantly your balance. Challenging your balance- even losing it for a quick second and recovering it, is a great way to actually improve your balance. Try it out- if you don't have a weighted ball try holding anything that is weighted (dumbbell etc). by @amphysiotherapy

Feet can often be overlooked in an assessment but can cause a lot of issues locally or create issues further up the chain (knees, hips, etc). Stay tuned for some ideas on how to strengthen those feet 💡 by @amphysiotherapy

Shoulder pain or stiffness? I assess and treat shoulders frequently at the office. Many times it is a lack of strength and instability that will cause shoulder pain amongst other issues. Our shoulder has great mobility but at times can therefore lack the stability it needs to function well. This can all be treated with an effective exercise program and education!

Pre-running warm up in Central Park, NY. A quick and easy warm up focused on the ankles, and calves. Side note- when stretching your calf do knee straight and knee bent position. Repeat circuit 3-5x, holding stretches 10-20 secs each leg and repeating calf raises 10-15 reps on each leg. by @amphysiotherapy

Happy Labour Day- get out there and move!
